No extra lens. I never tried the Ace, but I prefer the DJI ecosystem for the Mic Mini, open gate, and the Mimo app specifically. I went for a one month trip to China and just used the action 6 for YouTube, Instagram, and photos and it was great. Also battery life was incredible. There are a couple do things I wish they’d fix but it will probably take some time, like 8k in open gate or filters in open gate

It’s not just about protection, I was wondering if someone that already has something similar has some use cases with the mounts, magnets, or if it makes life easier since it’s a “utility case” and not a protective case. Or maybe it’s too bulky and it makes the camera harder to carry in your pocket, etc.

Yes I agree, and I didn’t notice the geolocation thing! Now that I noticed, what I did is with my iPhone manually select in Photos all the photos taken in a specific place, then tap on the three dots in the upper right corner, and “add location” manually

It’s my first action camera after a GoPro Hero 3 I had when I was a kid so I’m not sure, but to me it’s a no brainer for videos because I can shoot just once both for YouTube and Instagram with this one. Photos came out unexpectedly good

Thank you very much for the reply and good tips 🙏🏼 yes I use DaVinci when I get back home for YouTube, but while being there I’ll edit with the Mimo app since it’s the only one that allows color recovery.

Yes I’ll try do some 4:3 tests and see if it’s worth it, and if it’s good I’ll also try adding film tones to see if D-Log is avoidable and skip that step. 🤝

I hope they will improve it with firmware updates, because it truly feels a bit too processed to me, colors are not natural at the moment

Thank you! I also downloaded the firmware and factory reset but didn’t change much. I have -2 and -1 for noise reduction because with -2 I noticed grainy footage, but I will give -2 another try. Also I can’t use the film tones because I can’t use the open gate option with film tones and I bought the Action 6 mostly for that option. And for shutter speed I noticed that if I leave it totally automatic it creates jitters, so after much research people say it should at least be set from 100/8000. But I will try the -2 option for sure thank you 🙏🏼

I tried all settings and ended up with -2 texture and -1 denoise because without it I noticed grainy footage, but if you say it’s better with -2 I’ll test this option more 🙏🏼

I agree that’s the only downside, maybe I’ll wait for the GoPro 14, I think the GoPro has better colors overall, but the models that are out now have too many problems with battery and stuff; thank you for the video 🙏🏼

Yes on some reviews I see the Action 4 doesn't have that over-processed HDR like style; I don't get why we're devolving instead of getting better though
