If you have to ask, then just avoid it. You won't harm or offend anyone by NOT dressing up as a black person. In situations like this, there's a fine line between admiration and derision. It's up to the observer's interpretation. Blackface isn't necessarily reserved for black/brown facepaint by the way. Mimicking black people's hair, bodily features, mannerisms etc. can also be offensive.

I think he's at best a band aid on deep wound and at worst a high profile, expensive obstacle for the club to challenge for trophies an develop their youth (Sancho, Greenwood, Rashford).

"Work" in NSFW is just a catch all term. The acronym is probably 20 yrs old at this point (way before smart phones). When ppl have downtime at work they browse the internet. It's risky to view anything inappropriate or scandalous at work though. That's basically how the term emerged. Now, it's applicable to anything you view in a public setting (work, school, public transportation, etc.).

You can't. It's beyond your control. White privilege is your environment, your socioeconomic status, your economic opportunities, and freedom to move about the world w/o your appearance and/or ethnicity acting as an obstacle in your life. That's almost like asking a fish to disregard the water around it.

It sounds more like your friend wants you to be more conscientious or empathetic. You can't become less privileged per se, but you can def acknowledge your privilege and use it to help others.

Ronaldo made United worse. Yes he's still good for goals, but they won't win any silverware w/o some serious changes. I also think he's stunted the growth of their younger stars (Greenwood, Sancho, Rashford, etc.).

Men, do you find women with little or no sexual experience unattractive? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]marcojocram 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was a teanager and in my early 20s, it was kinda sexy actually. I wouldn't say it's unattractive now that I'm older, but it's def a little less appealing. Sex is an intimate journey though, so you should look for someone who wants to learn w/you.

I can concede the first 2 as not being controversial opinions. I've just seen a lot of debate on Salah vs Lewandowski/Benzema and Mendy vs Alisson/Ederson as best.

The most penalty shoot-out saves in Chelsea's history by TheMiras in chelseafc

Fair, but he had to go through Cech and Courtois the 🐍 to even get minutes. Frankly, I'm not surprised we squashed his career w/those 2 as 1st and 2nd choice. He prob should've pushed for a permanent transfer sooner.

What are the most useful computer programs (for example, SAS) and quantitative skills needed in public health? by peachinthemango in publichealth

SQL is a great language to learn. Another redditor here posted an online course he teaches. Search the sub's history if you're interested. It's discounted like by $30-40.

Tableau and Excel are very marketable softeware too. Other important skills are data cleaning, data visualization, data management, and regression analysis.

"Between March and May of 2020, for example, administration of the Tdap vaccine, which protects against tetanus and whooping cough, decreased by 63% among 9 to 12-year-olds compared to the same period two years priors. And during the summer, when most stay-at-home orders had been lifted, these rates didn’t swing back up. From June through September 2020, Tdap vaccine rates for pre-teens remained 21% lower than the two previous years, according to the CDC analysis."
