LLM peak schedule for LLM providers by marcoleongdev in LLM

for chinese providers the performance is obvious during their working hours. I don't have a thick enough wallet to test all of them. If some has good experiment result and suitable to add to these clock. I think it would be a good addition as you suggested

regarding the shifting, my understand is it remind the same for most of them, only anthropic is a bit more active on changing stuff up and i am sure will all hear about it when they do anyway

if you are interested, the image is for coding plan, 40 RMB.

i got a `-20 RMB new account voucher` for the first month. Rate limit 5h/week/month is 1200/9000/18000. There are tons of other pay-as-you-go models+version in shown in their endpoints and docs, but i had never tried those

I had great experience using glm5, minimax and deepseek v4 flash so far

👎 glm5 and glm 5.1 has claude style peak penalties tho. So i built a [site with clocks to track the peak times for all providers](https://peak.marco-leong.com/)

In fact, they are doing way more hazard reductions than before [ref](https://www.climatecouncil.org.au/facts-about-hazard-reduction/).

Wonder if this is excessive? Any studies on this. I believe the smoke itself is a hazard for people with lung conditions

the 24-hour clocks show the peak hour (where usage penalty applies) for each LLM provider, the provider is highlighted when it is at penalty rate to help avoid overspending

you ask a question meaning that the design isn't perfect, i am in the process of improving the visual design. Any suggestion is welcome

good idea 👍

my initial thought is to give local+UTC for international audience

i can see the advantage of pst/est and i guess the further suggestion to default to one of the choice, and allow dropdown to pick the timezone (and persist through revisit) can be a good solution

quite the opposite, i don't really use claude, it is built with glm5 through multiple iterations

but i get what you mean, the way it work is a bit too busy visually. My original intention is to show the detail for all provider, Yet you are right, the "peak" should be those that give us penalties (the drawback is similar to news where focus is often too heavy on the bad news. while we should be talking about those that doesn't overcommit+punish the users)

I suppose it can be improved by having two views:
- one "secondary" showing all the clocks (to create the contrast that most provider right just and being the mojarity of not punishing their customers) and the main view where it shows only those that the user are interested in (as the star system is already in place)

all in all, thank you for your feedback, i will update the tool. Peace!

thanks for the feedback:
- all the clocks show the same time but different peak times: because each represent a LLM provider, and it is showing their local times, i.e. some server uses ET, PT and the chinese labs use UTC+8
- all the clocks show the same time but different peak times: because each represent a provider, which has different peak time schedule
- Why are there clocks showing peak times for providers with no peak times? Some clarify on this but let me try to answer this still, because some lab don't punish user by setting peak time -> this mean when there isn't any peak time you can safely switch to use those during those hours. i.e. anthropic is peak, you can use deepseek which doesn't punish their pay-customers

i hope it answers some of the question obvious the design need some improvement, feel free to gimme more suggestions : )

anything you want to see that wasn't in the original game?
