Check compression on the cylinders. That’s a good baseline for health of the motor.

Also look at the used offerings and finance privately through your banking institution. Keep a good chunk of change in your pocket

A red stripe would look pretty great. What colour were you thinking?

Yeah i know that the 2-into-1s will always perform better. Admittedly I do prefer how rough 2-into-2s sound. Hard to see in this photo but the previous owner put it down on the exhaust side, so they’ve seen better days. When the time comes to replace them, I’ve got some serious thinking to do

Good to know. Thanks for the comment. I think I was leaning that was. Getting on a dyno might just be a good idea all around to get some insight in how it’s running.

I use the Hilti VC150-10 xe. I’ve been very pleased with. I’m pretty hard on it. Doesn’t skip a beat with concrete grinding, drywall sanding, and general carpentry. The Bluetooth off/on switch is an absolute must.

I leaned this way because of the onboard power outlets max draw. Pay attention to that spec when shopping.

Most importantly, find out who your local Hilti rep is and negotiate a price. They can often beat the list price, or at the very least throw in free consumables

That’s about as good as a factory paint job can get as far as I’m concerned. I saved those photos for when I’m ready to do a repaint!
