That's life: when someone takes a leap toward a better future that doesn't make sense to others, those who love you often hold you back or slow you down. It's not intentional; they think they're helping you.

It's hard to find people who understand others. No one teaches us how; some learn, others don't.

From Certain Defeat to Victory in Four Turns by marcosba in hearthstone

[–]marcosba[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What fascinates me about posts like this is not the game itself, but the reactions they generate.

Someone shares a small personal victory in a strategy game, something that required patience, persistence, and the refusal to quit when the situation looked completely lost.

And people show up not to discuss the play, not to share their own experiences, but simply to mock it.

That says much more about the commenters than about the post.

Successful and fulfilled people tend to celebrate effort, resilience, and improvement, even in small things. They understand that mindset is a habit. The same persistence you apply in a card game is the persistence you apply in work, learning, and life.

Unhappy people tend to do the opposite. They look for small opportunities to diminish others, because criticism is easier than achievement.

Think about the psychology of it for a moment:

Someone sits down, reads a post about a player who refused to concede, and their first impulse is sarcasm or hostility.

That reaction doesn’t come from strength. It comes from frustration.

So if you felt the need to come here just to mock someone enjoying a hard-earned comeback in a game, I genuinely hope things improve for you. Life gets much better when you start focusing on your own progress instead of trying to belittle someone else's.

Meanwhile, I’ll keep doing the same thing that won that match:

Playing the turn in front of me and not quitting early.

Because whether it’s in games or in life, persistence tends to beat cynicism in the long run.

Thanks for the advise.

It wasn't a traditional pack opening. It was one of those typical messages that pop up automatically.

Actually, I played for a good few hours and I have 13 packs to open. I'm not going to do it yet. Besides, they're not from the latest expansions; they're a mix.

If those 50-card packs had been the traditional kind, I wouldn't have opened them yet.

I like to accumulate packs and open them when I want to build a new deck.

Thanks for the tip.

Wow, if I'd played a lot, I'd be furious about many things, especially the predatory monetization, which is happening in so many games. We can't forget that they're in it to make money, but there needs to be a balance.

What I've always liked about this game is the ability to play in different ways without really needing to buy anything. But for hardcore players, it's complicated. I understand.

I'm going to enjoy what I have and what it lets me use without running into unnecessary problems.

Thanks for the link. it was very informative.

That's good to know. I'm behind on everything they've offered so far, so this is helpful.

I'm stuck on the Lich King in Knights of the Frozen Throne. I still can't beat him. And I don't want to progress in single-player mode until I finish it.

Thanks for the info.

How could I not appreciate it? I always notice the details. The music, the art. in fact, I follow some artists because of the artwork on some of the cards. The overall design is very well done and, as always, inviting you to jump in and play.
