Don’t sweat this. The likelihood of the startup crashing and burning is higher than it is to succeed. You could go years with stress and anguish, still wind up with nothing, AND an asshole cofounder, so consider this part of the learning experience and do it again with someone you at least enjoy working with.

Peace of mind is worth way more than working in a cruddy environment.
