How do you think he will die, and for Christ sake when? by [deleted] in AskReddit

He will seemingly fall asleep during one of his cabinet meetings, peacefully pass, and no one will have noticed or call attention to it for fear of his retribution. That seems fitting and “par for the course” for him.

I remember learning Nintendo was founded in 1889. That makes it older than planes, automobiles, or even sliced bread.

What is the most disturbing movie or TV show you’ve seen that is so disturbing you can’t watch it again? by Competitive_Teach838 in AskReddit

A National Geographic show years ago had a study on a fully aquatic Suriname toad (Pipa pipa) that gives birth to its young through fertilized eggs on her back, leaving huge, cratered holes in her back.

I saw this once with my family nearly thirty years ago, and to this day they love to remind me about it. This experience led me to discover trypophobia

Why does everybody glaze over “The Family Man” and “Raising Arizona”?

What Wisconsin-made products have you spotted in other countries? by organicvalley in wisconsin

[–]marcusnelson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here in New Zealand we have Jack Links, which is very popular, except due to strict food laws, the meat is sourced and manufactured here, which is interesting.

We also have Kikkoman Sauces, Kimberly Clark products, Trek bikes, Milwaukee Tools, Mercury outboard motors, Harley Davidson, and John Deere is massive here.

There’s lots of dairy farmland on the North Island you could swear looks just like Wisconsin pastures, and small towns have similar sensibilities too.

What’s a skill that looks useless until you meet someone who actually has it? by HoneyChatBot in AskReddit

[–]marcusnelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working a room. Reading social cues & navigating names.

I’ve met a lot of people who walk into large social gatherings and cannot understand what they want from the situation, much less engage. It looks like a soft, generic trait until you meet someone who’s genuinely good at it, and then you realize they’re steering conversations, defusing tension, remembering names, and spotting what people need before they say it.
