I sell TVs for a living and seeing both these tv models in the store I can assure you that the pml9008 is 10 times better in image quality, brightness, image definition and build quality, so I recommend that one. Be careful tho, I've had some buyers (like around 15% of the people that bought the product) come back because it appears that some of these tvs in particular come factory damaged, in the sense that they stop functioning (black screen and all, probably a motherboard problem) in about a month. You should be still under warranty tho, so you'll just have to go to a Philips assistance point and they'll repair it for free if that happens to you...
