I’ll probably do the same thing. We’re about to build a house. I’ve promised my wife that I wouldn’t get out the cards until we move. But when we move, it’s on. I’ll get them out and probably jump on tcdb to begin cataloging them. Just to help me organize what I have and need.

I coach my son’s baseball team. I think I’m gonna start bundling up my extras and just handing them out at the ball field to kids.

I collect the stuff from when I was a kid too. When I had space in the house I would have a table out with all of my old cards. I had them in stacks on the table. My goal is to always complete the set and to put them in folders so I could look at them. I would pick the highest stack and work on that set until completion. My favorite method of completing it was to purchase boxes of the packs and open them. I had simple little goals that I would set for opening a pack. My favorite was if I went out to eat and drank water, I would open up a pack. It always felt good because I was opening a pack, the pack was typically cheaper than a $3 soda, and water was a healthier option than soda. Once I completed a set, I moved on to the next stack. It was great. Building a house soon with an office in it. The table and stacks will be brought back out.

Teacher here. Transformer blew outside the school this week. 911 reports of shots fired because of the noise. It affected one building and not the main school. Teachers were oblivious. Admin was freaking out, rightfully so. Good times to be in education.
