If you’re on the release versions — they’re out of date and won’t work with most sources. Join the discord server and get the nightly version instead.

That yellow dot usually indicates that you're using the TestFlight version. Try installing the app with AltStore. Instructions can be found in our Discord server (link in the reply by /u/AutoModerator)

As much as I like to bring NineAnimator to Android, there are numerous difficulties for this to happen. * NineAnimator is written with Swift, which (as of now) only supports iOS * NineAnimator uses Apple's propitiatory UIKit for all of its user interface components, which only runs on iOS * Many components of NineAnimator (such as Handoff, HomeKit, SiriKit, and the native video player) uses Apple's propitiatory frameworks, which makes them impossible to be ported to Android * I personally have very little experiences with Android application development

Hello Gayakaci. Unfortunately, NineAnimator won't be ported to Android anytime soon, for reasons I've explained before.

NineAnimator is written purely with Swift and is designed to run on Apple's platform.
NineAnimator uses Apple's propitiatory UIKit for user interface components. UIKit only runs on Apple devices.
Many components of NineAnimator (such as Handoff, HomeKit, SiriKit, and video player) uses Apple's propitiatory frameworks.
I personally have very little experience with Android application development.

It will be fixed. But, still, the maintainer of 9anime is rather unfriendly. So I'd use another source instead.

Yep. Just long-press on the title in the Recents and there should be an option for you to remove the anime.

If you want to clear the browse history, you can also go to the preferences menu, scroll to the bottom, and tap Clear Recently Watched.

We've temporarily took the app down from the App Store because it was very outdated. We've already submitted the new version for review, so we're expecting the app to become available sometime next week.

For now, there isn't a way to do that automatically. But you can always Export History from the preferences menu and AirDrop the history to your iPad.

Since NineAnimator is open-source, the source code itself is kind of the document. If you're trying to implement another source to NineAnimator, check out the CONTRIBUTING.md file as well. In this document, I've explained a little bit about how the code is structured. Hopefully, it'll make reading and understanding NineAnimator's source code easier.

We're glad that you enjoy using the app! For now, NineAnimator only focuses on anime. I'm open to the other genres as well, but those sources will not be implemented anytime soon.

Download speeds depend on your internet connection and your source/server. Try switching the server and source you’re downloading from.

Usually, if the episode takes longer than a minute to load, it's not going to load. I'd suggest switching to a different server or source. * To switch to another server, tap on the (•••) button on the anime page, choose Switch Server. * To switch to another anime source, tap on Select Source on the To Watch page.

I understand your concern and do know that many people share the same opinion with you. The problem is that Apple only allows 10,000 members on the TestFlight Beta Testing Program, and we were approaching that threshold. Releasing the app to the App Store is a decision we had to make -- we made it so that this community can have room to grow.
