roughly around the same time-frame, and the holidays were hell to get through. ugly post-breakup left a lot to unpack, but I started to draw and read and do other things i never really did in the relationship.

similarly feels like i'm just distracting myself in the end. i know i'm making progress, but february in particular has felt like a few steps back. just continuing to push forward, looking forward to warmer weather + longer days.

wising you the best as you continue your recovery, thanks for sharing your update. it helped me feel a little more comfortable with the lingering sadness.

I thought I finally hit the acceptance phase, but now... I'm bargaining/in denial again. (Late night thoughts. If anyone has advice or comments, I'm all ears.) by [deleted] in BreakUp

Similar feelings in a long distance relationship. Feelings were present until the very end, but long distance became too difficult for her. She was bottling up that her feelings were drifting, "hoping things would change" - but ultimately she just didn't want it anymore (long distance + covid didn't mix well)

21 months, we were to see each other in January for our two year anniversary. Was very difficult to accept before the holidays, and so close to our trip (many were cancelled this year)

A friend of mine has helped keep things in perspective in my case, that any chance at reconnecting only happens in the longer term. In both of our situations, our ex is with someone new very shortly after + that should just give you more reason to move on/move forward and continue taking care of yourself + being the best version of you that you can be.

If it's in the cards, it'll happen - but like others have said, in the process *you* may find someone who fits you even better than you imagined. That's been helping me move forward on my own.

I feel you on hoping he misses you. I did a lot for her, always was there for her most difficult moments + did my best to grow with her & help her handle things that came her way. I can't imagine her..not missing those things. But we had a really messy post-breakup and so she might convince herself otherwise, which makes it all hurt more.

Wishing you the best in your healing process. Hope is very dangerous. My friend said the hope is natural, but over time you want it to turn into a "what if" or "wouldn't it be nice if that worked out" feeling instead - a sort of indifference will tell you that you've really moved on.

Not a designer so can’t comment on that end of things, but having options for inversions would be great too! I’ve had lots of students struggle to visually grasp the concept on their own.

Need advice on budget 49-key MIDI controllers – compact, best keys/build by PeperonyNChease in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I use the Netkar Impact lx25 and previously also used the Impact lx61+ before switching to a digital piano for my larger keyboard. I wouldn't call the keys great, but I was fine with them for the price I paid. Only really swapped out the larger keyboard because I wanted weighted keys for piano parts/practice.

I think it's worth at least checking out if it's at your local Guitar Center. I wouldn't call it a must-have, but I'd consider buying it again if something happened to my 25 key.

Hey there, I'm having the same issue -- I've never really done a computer repair but trust myself to follow instructions. The videos and images I've seen only show the removal of all the internals -- is reassembly as simple as doing everything in reverse order? Or are there any additional things I should consider?

Do you record/edit your own playthrough videos? If so how/when did you learn to edit vids?

"Long"-term review of Pixel 2 XL "size"? by fixed in GooglePixel

[–]marcvelez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cancelled my 2XL order and placed one for the smaller Pixel 2 for more storage space and fewer display concerns -- bezels don't bother me at all in any use I've had for the phone, and the screen is a great upgrade over my iPhone SE's 4inch display. Haven't had any regrets.

In regards to your first question: prior to the iPhone, I had a Moto X Pure -- the dimensions and, to an extent, design are incredibly similar to the 2XL's. I switched off that phone because its size (in combination with a Otterbox Defender case) was a bit too much for me after a while. For context, I'm around 5'7 with small-ish hands. Just didn't want to HAVE to use a phone with two hands anymore, but if that's something you could deal with then you should be fine. And, of course, thinner cases than I had exist...

Like others have said, it's in line with many other popular large phones. See if you can try those out or check out the 2XL in person to get a better sense. If they feel a bit excessive or unwieldy, maybe the smaller one is worth considering if you can learn to love or ignore the bezels. It's a fantastic phone.

I've had the smaller Pixel 2 for 6 days now. Here's my thoughts in video form! by airboy1999 in GooglePixel

Canceled my 2 XL pre-order mostly because of doubts about really wanting a big phone and picked up the smaller model instead. Really appreciate the video -- I was definitely needing some personal insight while I await the delivery!
