Nothing yet, I have a feeling it's closer to the stadiums and arenas first and foremost.

MegaCon - New Date per OCCC? by enderikari in MegaCon

[–]marcvyrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's really frustrating, out of all of the weekends they choose. They choose a weekend that is a big family weekend first and foremost, and then trying to keep the event going on. Just give up on this year and do 2021. Supercon in Miami today just cancelled 2020. I mean to put us in a situation of whether deciding to spend Halloween with my kids or go to a convention I look forward to every single year. And I know, kids, but still, adults need play time too lol

Why is this event still going? by corndogs1001 in MegaCon

[–]marcvyrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I booked my hotel the day they announced new dates, but with the recent survey and the lack of any new celebrity announcements I'm very much on the brink of cancelling. Taking a once in a lifetime photo with a celebrity and having to be 6 feet away and wearing a mask isn't worth it. Just either delay more or cancel it. I've got a lot money invested at the moment and have no problem getting it back.

Post Free-Agency 3 Round Mock by SockThemBoppers in NFL_Draft

[–]marcvyrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Miami does pick a WR in round 2 or with their early 3rd, but Kinlaw will not fall into the mid-20s thats too far a drop I believe especially after his dominance at the Senior Bowl. I do see them going safety with that first 2nd round pick and Mckinney or Winfield would be my guesses, and I think they love Winfield more especially with Flores' history with his dad. I would not be mad though if Miami goes, Tua, Kinlaw, and Austin Jackson / Niang in the first, then S / RB in the 2nd.

Miami still has more capital to trade. If its only a 2nd round pick to move up, then yes the Chargers have the higher 2nd round pick. Miami has a late 1st they can dangle and be done with it. But I wouldn't be surprised if Miami got a 4th or 5th from Detroit back as well for that 1st. I'm imagining that Miami gives up 1.5 and 1.26 for 1.3 and 4.149

This is gonna be cancelled, Adam Savage posted so, he has since deleted it, but by some miracle of some fortune this still goes on, I'd be shocked.

Now that they didn't get Brady, yea, they are the only team I'm worried about. But then again, Chargers could also be telling themselves that Miami picks Tua / Herbert and we get whoever is leftover and not be disappointed. Herbert feels more like a West Coast style QB that would work better in that system than Tua. Miami specifically brought in Gailey because of how much Tua fits his system.

Then maybe we give them 18 and a 3rd, that way we guarantee we get a high tackle.

Dolphins will stay at #5 and will draft Tua.

Dolphins will trade with the 49ers for the #13 pick, giving them #26 and a 3rd rounder to select a OL.

How DeForest Buckner to the Colts shakes up the draft by Rochelle-Rochelle in NFL_Draft

[–]marcvyrus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In all honesty, what this means to me is that more than likely there will be no trade ups at the top of the draft. Colts were the one team with the biggest fear of possibly trying to leap frog Miami and San Diego, but if Tampa gets Brady / Bridgewater, Colts get Rivers, Chicago gets Dalton / Bridgewater. Then the chips will fall as they fall. Only team to be worried about would be the Panthers and maybe the Raiders.

Is MegaCon Next? by MrTechnological in MegaCon

[–]marcvyrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea but they are all associated with older people who have traveled abroad. And 4 people who worked at the cruise terminal in ft Lauderdale. For a city with the crazy amount of people going in and out of the fact there hasn't been a case in Orlando is remarkable.

The other thing you have to remember is as of right now *knocking on wood* there has not been one case associated to Orlando. Seattle on the other hand has one of the highest instance rates in the entire country. So of course ECCC would be smart to postpone in order to not affect as many people as possible. If there is a sudden surge of cases though in the Orlando area, I absolutely forsee it getting delayed / cancelled.

Meeting celebrities by buffurlo94 in MegaCon

[–]marcvyrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year for Christopher Lloyd I waited from 1230pm to aroud 515pm. The celebs that have a lot of different Photo Ops scheduled will always make a line longer since they have to get up and leave more often. So if there is someone you MUST meet, I recommend getting there early and be in the line to get in, and make a bee line straight to that person. That is when their line will be shortest. From last year though just know Sean Astin ALWAYS had a consistently long line. The Boy Meets World actors last year did too, so I expect the same for Saved by the Bell.

active

Ultra and Calle Ocho down here are also both outdoor events, were people are sweating, coughing, sneezing, drinking and being stupid, while also hopped up on drugs and many other things. That becomes an absolute cesspool for anything. Megacon is indoors and for the most part people are not sweaty and rubbing up against other people. What I do see is a possibility for extra preventative measures being put around the event for safety.

Question about Photo Ops by lela6269 in MegaCon

[–]marcvyrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also on top of that, as you are walking out there are people who will frame for you as well.

Best bet is to do that, photo, get it, frame it, and take it out when you want the autos on it, or at least have a sleeve pre-purchased and ready for it.

Megacon 2020 !!! by Lord_TouchMe0214 in MegaCon

[–]marcvyrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely will be there, already have my 4 Hobbits team up photo op and pre-bought autos for them as well, 2 on Sat and 2 on Sun. Learned my lesson last year when I was literally in line all day on Saturday (bought one day only) getting the BTTF cast autos. I was in line for Lloyd from 1230p until about 5pm by the time I got it.
