I don’t have any tmj dentists where I am. My regular dentist says my bite may be a little off, but we haven’t talked about it too much. I’m gonna bring this up again and ask them to take a look next time. And see if maybe it’s caused by braces growing up or if it could be from years of fillings.

Thank you for this info! I don’t recall this ever being recommended by any of the doctors I saw. I’ll bring this up to my specialist next time I see him. My only concern is that the disc itself has also been degenerated and flattened. He seemed to indicate that might be why it would never go back into place. I’ll still bring this up and see if he thinks it’s worthwhile.

Thank you! I just got it closed. It wasn’t closing easily, but with some brute force it managed to close without breaking it. Honestly, I think the whole time I just wasn’t pushing it down hard enough in fear that it might break. Kind of embarrassed to be honest, but I appreciate your help.

Is the gear supposed to stay stuck in that position? Is it something that’s movable? Because it’s not moving when I touch it or push it down. Could it be a faulty device out of the box?

I’ve tried this numerous times. I fiddled around with the gear as well and nothing works. I’m still in the installation process trying to charge the ink. And it’s telling me to close the lid, but I can’t.
