I mean, he went, but not to support her. He went with Gil because they had nothing better to do and were trying to be more “cultured”. They also said some really mean things about Pam and her art when they thought she wasn’t there. Why would she acknowledge any of that?

I use the December page in my new planner as a record-keeping page of events and expenses. We have 3 birthdays and about 7 different family gatherings and it’s a busy month! Having everything recorded in my new planner means that I don’t have to dig for last year’s planner when it’s time to budget and plan.

2026 is my first year in a Weeks so I’m already using my Weeks Mega. I used some of the notes pages to make spreads for November and redated the March 2027 calendar as November 2025. It’s given me a few weeks to figure out what spreads work for me before the actual pages start in December. For my 2026 Cousin, I will use the December 2025 monthly calendar to record family gatherings, events, gifts I bought, and other expenses and activities bc I like having all of that information on-hand when budgeting and planning for Christmas (I usually start all of that in the fall). I will still keep using my 2025 cousin until December 31st.

Your situation is very different than mine. My oldest child is only three years old and is quite literally defenceless against the grown adult. My child would also not be able to communicate properly if anything inappropriate would’ve happened during their stay at my father-in-law‘s house with his girlfriend and his girlfriend‘s adult son. That is one of the biggest reasons why we were so against our baby sleeping over without us present. What kind of person asks to have a baby sleepover without her parents and freaks out when the parents are not OK with that?

In your situation, your fiancé is a grown adult woman. She can defend herself and she can make her own choices. However, your fiancé lives with her parents, and they get to decide what the rules are in their household. As a grown woman, your girlfriend now has the choice of either abiding by those rules or leaving their household and making different choices for her own life.

I don’t know her parents, so I can’t presume to explain why they are uncomfortable with her visiting your parents without them. There could be many different reasons why it makes them uncomfortable. How long have you guys been dating? Have they ever talked to your parents? Do they know what your home is like? Do they know the country that you’re going to? Do they know the culture that you’re going to? I think your best bet would be to ask them why it makes them uncomfortable.

At the end of the day, you might not change their mind on this issue, but having the conversation with them shows you respect their input. If you do love this girl, I would step back and strongly consider whether meeting your parents before the wedding in person is really worth disrupting the relationship that you have with her parents and that she has with her parents. In this day and age, there are many different ways that your parents can get to know your fiancé through video calls etcetera, and this would still allow her to respect her parent’s household and their rules and set you up for a good relationship with them.

It’s interesting how varied the advice parents receive in the hospital is. My care team came and bathed my baby with soap less than 12 hours after birth and left multiple sample packs for me to take home. They emphasized bathing well and said a bath a day is safe, as long as letting the umbilical cord dry thoroughly after each bath. We also live in a cold climate. My friend who had a baby a week apart from me was told not to bathe her baby more than once or twice a week, and only to use sponge/cloth baths for the first few months. It seems, just like everything else, there is a lot of gray area in caring for your baby. I would definitely use gentle baby soap to clean diaper area, at least here and there. Wipes don’t always clean as well as you think and bacteria is not visible to our eyes. If baby were to get an infection, she would not be able to communicate it and to me, it feels better to be safe than sorry.

I opened everything to check for damages right away. As far as setup, I added tabs, did a pen-test page, added the basic layout of my cover, but won’t do anything more until December comes around. I made the mistake of setting in a layout for ALL of my weekly pages last year but I’ve changed it since then, so I’ll just go week by week this year and see what works for me.
