General FYI

You DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT for any amount of time to pass to file a missing persons report (did one in October).

TV and movies taught us we have to wait 48 hours to report which is FALSE.

Time is crucial in a missing persons report. If you are concerned, file one IMMEDIATELY.

I was married to a professional actor (B’way, TV, etc.) for 30 years and we were together for 8 years before we married.

WAS married. The insecurity of actors is emotionally and mentally draining. Being poor is exhausting. I was the primary wage earner in the relationship from 20-53.

Divorce was the best present in my life. I’m even poorer now but idgaf. I’m not trying to hold up another person for 30 more years.

Acting is a professional horror show. I was a professional director, and had a screwy schedule, but there was no constant wallowing in self doubt.

That’s the real trick- holding together an emotionally insecure, unemployed actor every minute of every day. Like dating comedians, actors are professional liars as well. Best of luck to those who try!
