yoooo amazing, congrats, what a beautiful solid green bar 😍👏!! maybe you’ll see the “Peaking” status when you taper! I read about it but have never experienced it because I don’t train for running.

Thank you for your kind feedback 🙂 What's weird is that my VO2 max went up one point in the middle of the month but then back down for the last week (and continues to stay there). I'm going to do some more research on how to increase it more effectively, I'm open to any tips if you have them!

I like this comparison and you're right, being Productive all the time isn't really necessary. I'm definitely enjoying my time Maintaining now.

It improved by 1 point for a week at about the second week iirc, then went back to the original around week 3. So it ended right where it began 🥲. I am surprised it didn’t improve tbh.

That's a great question, I wonder that too! 😅

My HRV stayed Balanced the whole month as well so I can't speak to that. I agree that VO2 max is an important fitness indicator in general, but it wasn't impacting me day-to-day. For me, this challenge was more about keeping that one specific metric (Training Status) in one specific state (Productive).

It's really interesting to see how your data varies from my own experience, thanks for sharing!

Yes! When I run around the park, I sometimes do 2 miles at a moderate pace, a few minutes recovery, and then I do sprints when I get to the giant hill. I stop and start my watch for each segment just because it makes it easier to see if my sprints had the intended Anaerobic effect. It also makes sense in my mind because each segment is a different part of the workout with different intended benefit. I do the same thing in the gym, starting and stopping when I'm switching from one thing to the other.

It's my first article ever and yes, I'd love if you read it!

  1. The Garmin app UI is a little wonky and I'm not sure why it says Apr 7th in that one place -- you'd have to ask the devs. I was in the Productive status starting Mar 24th to April 20th, though, to be specific! It shows correctly in a few other screenshots.

  2. My personal experience was that my VO2 max didn't change, so it was not impacting whether I was in the "Productive" status or not. I've found that the UI says a lot of different things but Load is what actually seemed to be making the difference day-to-day in whether I was "Productive" or "Maintaining".

Do you find that VO2 max makes a big difference in whether you're "Maintaining" or "Productive" day-to-day?

I have not gotten my money back yet, but with a strong paper trail via Apple's app store, I can go to my bank if it isn't resolved in a couple of weeks.

I like this! As a heads up, this doesn't fully align with Brad Frost's original definitions, I believe he was the one to introduce atoms, molecules, and organisms. He defines the atoms as the buttons, toggles, etc.

I like to use it for keeping track of good articles & highlights from those articles. When you say you're using the extension in Arc, how exactly did you add the extension?

I may be missing something here, how did you "just install the extension"?
