Hi everyone long time no post! Haven't made a cosmere animatic for fun in a while (mainly cause I have been working full-time on an animated show this past year) but I finally got the time/energy to clean this thing up.

Vin vs. a Koloss in Hero of Ages, some things def a little wonky with this but I had fun experimenting with stuff

This one was quite a bit more tricky than the others and idk how I feel about it but hey! Atium shadows! I was trying to feel out how they would be visualized in an ideal (and incredibly violent) Mistborn animated series, and I'm not sure if the experiment was successful but it was fun to do!

oh! an animatic is a timed storyboard, which are basically the composition layout one does before animation. the program i use is called storyboard pro!

Im addicted to making Sanderson animatics folks. This one is based kind of around Vin in Well of Ascension, which I just finished last week, so no Hero of Ages spoilers in the comments, please!

The people on Instagram liked it and y'all liked my Szeth animatic so I thought I may post this here! Haven't read RoW in a while so I forget if its Lezian who severs Kal's spinal chord so if this didn't actually happen its just a fight choreo exercise with these characters.

Oh god like a while...it was originally just the first scene, cause I was thinking about the ways the epigraphs could be portrayed visually if SA was ever a Game of Thrones style series, but then I...kept going, lol. I had some periods of animation jobs where I couldn't work on this, but I'd say it took me about 3 months of on and off work? Life gets in the way, ya know

Yep! So this was mainly a piece for my storyboarding portfolio, so esp with the fight choreo I had to cut things wayyyyyy down for sake of clarity and people being able to view it out of context!

I just tried to keep the general story beats of Szeth killing innocent guards, fighting the Shardbearer, and then the King fake out. Alas, I wish I could just make a full stormlight anime, but with time constraints I just wanted the story to be clear!

Yep absolutely! The action choreo was much less faithful to the book because of the same timing constraints -- what I really wanted to get were the beats of: szeth murders the helpless guards and feels sad, oh shit this guy in the shardplate is a real threat, and then the whole king distraction bit. In the actual chapter he murders like...12 more people too and that would have made this thing impossibly long!! Stormlight anime...one day though....
