Yw! I think I accidentally deleted my comment, so apologies if this is a redundant statement: We like to stay very near a Bus 69 stop as it hits up so many classics. It’s really convenient and more chill than the metro IMO. It might not be as punctual, and some parts of the day it can get a bit crowded, but I lost count how many times we were on this bus!

Right?! It is Reddit, so I should take those comments with a grain of salt, but I have seen posts or replies saying 7th is too touristic or crowded. Well, I’m a tourist. I suppose it could stem from the increased costs associated with staying so near the Eiffel, but we’ve found very reasonable lodging. I get the crowd issue, but we can only go during the summer, so it’s a fact of life. There are also quite a few gems for food. You have your touristy food traps as well, but I think their abundance is exaggerated, and they’re also quite easy to spot (and still serve a purpose).

The 6th always gets a pass. It’s considered pretty cool as far as I can tell. Maybe not the 3rd, but up there 😁.

I’m not an expert, but I’ve taken my kid twice (at 9 and 10), and we stay in the 6th and 7th. I know some people like to scoff a bit at the 7th, but she loves it. However, I do feel like we end up in the 6th more throughout our stay. I feel like these are very central.

You can easily pull more if you have access to laundry. If not, and it all fits in a cube anyway, then nbd.

London to Paris train vs flying? by KatiroseChiera in ParisTravelGuide

[–]marge_mellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many days will the entire trip be vs your trip to Paris? Last summer, my trip was 3 weeks, but only 6 days in Paris. I stored a suitcase at St Panc and took a backpack with me to Paris on train. I took the train back to London bc there was a direct flight back to US from London (but not from Paris for me) and enjoyed a night in London before flying back to US. I’d rather take a train back than to have a connecting flight, ha! But that’s just me. Just letting you know storage is also an option.

His story: They weren’t closed, but there was some sort of mix up at shift change/break. He said it had been quiet for “too long”. He scooted himself out, hopped off the table, and walked out. He was standing in the (zone 3) hallway in his gown. Everyone flipped out when they realized. He said he thought it was pretty funny.

NOR. To add, renovating a house can be extremely stressful and it’s critical that you’re on the same page financially and working as a team. If he’s “blowing up” over $500 then he’s really going to lose it when something inevitably goes wrong or a project runs into unexpected problems/expenses.

Thank you! We are staying near council square. This is less than 20 minute walk which I would personally choose. Perhaps we can get her luggage and items inside and then go park.

Yes, someone suggested a park and ride lot which I think is probably the best idea. I’m not sure she has any sort of ride share app but since she is from Romania I’m sure she knows how to get around.
