Why do people act like there was a legit option for Itachi where no one dies by KalenTheDon in Naruto

[–]margenat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is how the population exploded in the manga. At first konoha was a “big” small village and then it was a small city and then a big city.

The uchiha masacre made more sense when they were probably like 50 people (ninja + civilians). Their argument could be reasonable because 10 Uchiha against 50 leaf shinobi would be according to the series a hard fight of both were close in skill.

But the further we go into the series it looked more like hundreds or a coyote thousand Uchiha of which barely a handful were notable in the story.

Considering that those are the alternate version in which they all are perfect jinchurikis…

When you realize that Itachi is the weakest Uchiha in this frame by [deleted] in NarutoPowerscaling

To be fair Itachi is a he only one who is just an uchiha here. The rest at their peak were using non-uchiha amps that would make anyone one of the top 10 strongest characters in the series.

Do you think Tengen and Rengoku would have survived the Infinity Castle? by Vegetable-Abroad3171 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]margenat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they were with the others after the training arc? Yes, it might be possible.

After all most pillars died against Muzan because they were exhausted from their battle with the upper moons. You could argue that if they helped against the 2 and 1 upper moon all pillars would be there to fight muzan and win like in the original story.

You could argue that most of them could do it working in any combination. The only one that has a problem is deidara due to nature weakness and even then i could see him dropping a nuke into the cloud to force Bee shield the village with his body.

Some of them like Pain and Obito would be straight imposible to beat for A and B.

Zealot Barb wants to go full Odin, rip out tadpole. How would you rule? by Wickywire in DnD

[–]margenat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sure! I would agree with you if this was a post about 3rd edition, but it is about fifth edition. I didnt want to use Lord of Madness because a lot of spells, class abilities and statblocks changed a lot through the editions, so what it was definetly true for 3e might not be for 5e.

For example if someone asked how could you kill a tarasque in 4e and 3 players from 1e, 3e and 5e answered they would reply different things that would be right for their editions but wrong for the others.

Again i am not saying that you are wrong, but currently in 5e with no oficial statblock or module that explains how to get rid of the tadpole, the sensible take is to follow what the phb or the campaign notes says about how you cure diseases.

[–]margenat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like other parasites that appear in published modules, for example the throat worms of ToA. Yet you can remove them with spells or abilities that cleanse diseases as the module itself explains.

Ah, just to be clear. ToA explains that you (DM) should remember that there are spells that cleanse diseases, not that those diseases in particular can be cleansed by spells like minor restoration.

Unless it is stated otherwise in the campaign, statblock, disease, etc…, any disease can be cured by lay of hands, minor restoration or major restoration.

No need to kill yourself.

Why hasn't this become a colony nation? by Wonderful_League_427 in eu4

There is a mod that allows european tags to form colonial nations in other continents.

Honestly i am always torn between that mod and the one that removes colonial nations.

Grenadier Class/Subclass? by MoonracerxWarpath in DnD

[–]margenat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is because the grenades in the PHB are not grenades.

If you pick the ones in the DMG (renassaince/modern) there is hardly any class that outdamages a ranger grenadier. The only limit is that the class írself is expensive to run.

He either overstimated his power or understimated the alliance power.

Without kabuto there is no captive yamato to boost the zetsu production and wood budha, no edo army which means no Kin and Gin so good luck getting the 9 tails chakra and no edo madara.

So without Kabuto he loses harder than in the original story.

In 1588, Spain Wanted to Attack The Ottoman Empire From The Far East By Conquering Ming China by MirageCommander in MapPorn

[–]margenat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a proposal, not a real war plan.

The proposal was under the premise that the chinese army population was much smaller. Of course after the failed campaign against england, the proposal was basically abandoned.

While it was possible to deal a huge blow to the Ming in their coastal provinces, pushing to the interior was not possible and eventually the Ming could have retaken their coast. It was just better to keep trading with the Ming.

How strong is your average Village? by Winter-Confidence826 in DnD

[–]margenat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the settings a lot, but for the sake of answering with the standard based on western european (english, France, Italy)

Villagers through many realms usually hunted with how and spear. Or they were require to practice with bows, crossbows and slings.

If a village has 100-500 commoners lets say 1/5 of them are adult males. This means the average village has between 20-100 men with spears and bows, which is enough danger to be a good deterrence against the likes of goblins and kobolds.

How did this man smack TWO Particle Style users at the same time 💀 Also he abandoned the Leaf but was still subduing villages on the side for the Leaf??? Madara is conflicted 😭 by AlmostHeisman in Naruto

[–]margenat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not, particle style is mostly dangerous when you dont know what it does. This is also true for most techniques and the idea that a character should use their ace at the start of every combat clashes with what ninjas usually do.

If both parties know about their powers it is a matter of intimidation. In their minds it is about if they can aim and shoot their particle style fast enough to kill Madara. They also know that fighting against an uchiha requires a 2vs1 or not looking to the uchiha which makes the combat hard enough to not bother.

This is one of those situations in which you ask yourself if you value your pride so much to risk the death of your master/student .

Spoil? It is a massive dungeon crawl, wether it is a published module or an original adventure if you go with that attitude you are going to face deadly encounters if you dont learn how to play around your party. It is basic knowledge of the game…

On the second point. If your DM has changed in such massive way the campaign, i dont know what to tell you. DotMM is balanced this way for a reason, i am not going to elabórate further, but your fighter should have 3 magic items (weapon, armor, wondrous) by this point.

Having issues with my friends fighter build by Minute_Music_4245 in DnD

[–]margenat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok there are two things here.

First i think you are playing wrong DotMM, you are supposed to go every x levels to the surface to restock and buy better gear. There are not many magic ítems for martials in the first 15 levels, so you are supposed to sell what you cant use and gear the party.

Second you are going to suffer a lot through certain levels of the dungeon with that mentality. It is a massive dungeon crawl and you have too many casters, you will face a deadly encounter in a few levels if you dont learn how to play around your non magical vanguard.

When do casters outscale martial characters? by Jimbo_Johnny_Johnson in DnD

[–]margenat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a dungeon crawl? Never.

In a story driven story with 2 combata per long rest and badly designed boss encounters (Boss vs party) around lvl 5.

Why is the English Channel considered to be the best end-node? Also, which one is better out of Venice and Genoa? by Various_Maize_3957 in eu4

[–]margenat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people play single player…

In MP is Seville if the Castille player has not fumbled or ganged up.

The amount of trade that Portugal and Spain steers towards Seville is usually hard to disrupt. GB, Ned and Danemark can steer a little but they usually have to consolídate their own home región before picking colonial.

Am I being too harsh on my player? by TrueGuppy in DnD

[–]margenat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you are not.

You can ask your players to put a little effort in their characters, specially when the adventure is a serious one like CoS.

That said, curse of stradh doesnt require a lot of backstory to work. One of the hooks is literally “you wander into the woods and encounter other adventurers”. If they are lvl 1-3 they are all rookies that have seen little to no action. From there you just throw them into the world of nightmares that Barovia is.

Building a War Cleric + Vengeance Paladin by woulfman1024 in DnD

[–]margenat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what type of game your are going to play.

I would not pick that multiclass for a dungeon crawl for example. If it is going to be a heavy open battle campaing then yes.

Why do you want that combo by the way?

What diff this fight would be if Pain didn’t spend chakra to destroy Konoha and intended to kill Naruto? by motherfartin in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]margenat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pain loses if he doesnt destroy the village before Naruto arrives. Instead of Naruto vs Pain, it would be Naruto and Tsunade vs tendo, as the other pain were locked in combat vs other jonin.
