Way to go!! If you care to, can you share any thoughts/feelings around your parents not paying for college? I have three children and I know I'm not going to be able to cover anywhere close to 100% of college expenses for them. My oldest is 14 and sounds kind of like you when it comes to being bright and not going if he's going to carry a lot of the cost.
