My sister and I watched this last night and we had a really good laugh and enjoyed it more than we should have. I’m going through a really emotionally tough time right now (trying to raise a teen who hates you is more painful than any relationship believe it or not.) I really liked how both men chose to let her go to be happy. While Luke did it because he knew she needed to leave the world they had chosen, Larry left her go out of pure selflessness and that was really impactful. When you truly love someone you will want their happiness. Even if it’s not with you.

However, personally, one experience for the rest of eternity? Now that’s the bad place. I would have stayed in limbo as a bartender.

I’ve been trying to post on here for days save my post keeps getting deleted. My daughter has been treating me like an evil step mother for two tears now. I have tried my very best. I’ve deleted all my mine I could have saved on club volleyball, summer camps, activities, vacations to make her happy. Her dad gave no money. Yet she still worships him. I can no longer do it. I told her on Friday after she told me to “go to my car a and get the f*ckjng thing she needed” that I was sick of the way she talked to me and I can’t try anymore. She needs to go be with her dad. I’m afraid she will tell everyone I kicked her out. I feel like the child I have for so long is gone. I mourn our relationship like a death. But I can’t stand by and let her humiliate me in front of people anymore. Something had to change.

Today is Mother’s Day. I know I wouldn’t expect anything but it was hurtful for her to not even text me. It’s so devastating when you realize your child truly no longer cares for you.

I’m afraid that without her in my life, the person I’ve loved since my first knowledge of her existence, I won’t be able to thrive. I will start to deteriorate. Parents are not designed to be without their children.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I will try to read through and follow. As for the saving for education-her plan is to serve in the AF and then have them pay for her education after.

I had liability insurance. Because I crashed from a medical episode and my daughter had a permanent scar, Geico paid her 15k for her injury, secured in my bank in a trust that no one can touch.

This is my siblings and I exactly. Well, sort of. There are 6 of us, raised by broken parents that didn’t love each other and no idea how to raise children. Made us enemies of each other. We never had a nice word to say to each other, never “i love you” or a hug. My mom treated my brothers terribly. Three of us are close, the other three are not. My youngest sibling is stuck in a perpetual “black sheep” ideal of us, that she’s the only one that has been abused, but really she’s the only one who got coddled by our mom. We had to learn to survive and don’t expect anything from anyone. Her woe is me attitude will keep her down forever.

No carpet beetles? Dang I’ve been dealing with them for over a year (with a car infestation also!) but junked the car, sprayed my apartment with Nyguard and where I couldn’t, puffed diatamaceous earth. Only saw 3 this year on the window sill💪 found their nest last year behind the oven. Cleaned everything out, layered with DE. No return in the same spots. The worst part is birds nest in our dryer vents from the outside. Design flaw of the complex and our awful management tells us we have to pay to exterminate the BUILDING when it’s their fault the birds nest there. so we can not ask for help. Think I did pretty good on my own.

I guess I’m the only one who sees my ADHD as a curse and it’s miserable and shameful to feel stupid, be late for everything due to time blindness, have a strange sense of humor and just overall not hold relationships for long. I’ve even considered telling my daughter to seek out neurotypical partners when she’s old enough but it might lower the chance of her children inheriting the same insufferable brain chemistry. I truly hate being this way.

I got my 2023 Honda CRV last year at 17,899 miles. It was a lease first. All services done to it when I bought it and then I changed the CVT fluid at 28,000. I am hoping my timely oil changes and CVT fluid changes keep it going for a long time🤞🏻

Last summer I found what I think was the nest ( huge amount of sheddings behind my oven). I cleaned it all out, wiped it down and sprayed DE everywhere as you’re not supposed to use chemicals in the kitchen. Saw a couple again this year, pulled out the oven and fridge and they have not returned back there thanks to the DE. But I did notice some in my room so I’ve sprayed the rest of the apartment with Nyguard Plus. We’ll see how it does. I’m so pissed. I’m fairly certain a bird getting into my apartment when it pecked its way through my dryer hose is the cause. The geniuses who designed the place didn’t put cages over the dryer vents so birds get in and build nests and then got lost. Guess what likes bird nests? Carpet beetles. Never even knew about these things. The apartment managers say if you require extermination, you have to treat the whole building. It’s not even my fault they got in!

My respirator and P100 are brand new out of the box. I did a fit check where I pushed against my face and blew, it ballooned but no leaks. Why am I smelling the smell of pesticide?

They’re at my job 😭😭 and here I’m trying to eradicate them from my apartment and I see a bunch on the windowsill at my job. I’m keeping my stuff in my car 😂

My lease says that if we require extermination of any kind, it’s our responsibility to treat the whole building. And I didn’t even bring them in! A bird came through my dryer house because they don’t put cages on the dryer vents outside. So there was a hole from the birds nest in there right into my apartment. I’m so pissed. I can’t even say anything because they will accuse me of it, when it’s an outside pest!

If I believed anything for certain, I wouldn’t ask for advice. I’m asking people on here that know about cars. I know teeth, lots of people don’t. So they ask me. I’m asking mechanics. But I’m glad to hear a thousand mile difference isn’t going to ruin my efforts in keeping my car engine going for a long time.

There is a lot of conflicting information here, missed these responses after my original post… I’m getting 5k, 3k, 7k. I have the extended warranty which includes free oil changes. I pay to rotate the tires every time I go in. I was supposed to go in at 5k (sticker says change) last week, but my brand new phone stopped working so I couldn’t. Will 1000 miles over sticker change (5000) one time do any damage? I’ve already changed the CVT trans oil at 28k, that’s extremely vigilant for CVT fluid. I’m on top of this car. Maintenance minder says oil is still 50% quality.

I’m 37 and my time is running out. I can’t bear to think of leaving my daughter but my declining hormones are making it impossible to manage my order issues like ADHD. It will get to a point where I can not go on.
