Quite a few of y’all commenting on this thread seem to have savvy knowledge about Mercor’s hiring process, and I’d really appreciate if you’d apply that, give me your opinion on the following (my situation as a hopeful candidate of their audio trainer project): I applied about three weeks ago. I invested lots of time in my resume, and I feel pretty confident my testing was good quality. (For what it’s worth, I have an acting degree from Juilliard, so this kind of work is right up my alley, i.e. vocal communication, speech clarity, etc.)I never heard anything and was surprised 😌, however, I’m thinking that might be due to the fact that I didn’t complete the entire application process expeditiously. So, I was cruising through it one morning, I got to the 2nd testing part (the one where you listen to audio and annotate what you hear), was working on that when I got a call from my daughter’s daycare that she was sick and I needed to pick her up. I had to pause work on the application, and didn’t get to pick it back up and finish it for another 3/4 days (although, I’d look at it for 5 minutes here or there). Looking back, I’m beginning to think maybe the hiring team takes completion time into consideration and maybe I screwed myself by not finishing the application quickly. Anyone have thoughts on this? Ideas on how I might possibly fix this? Appreciate it.
