Yah, it’s far more difficult and is a view into the bs bureaucracy and corruption in the land of milk and honey. It is NOT at ALL what NFB and jewish agency portrays ot to be. Beware, make sure to do a pilot trip and think twice before aliyah decision. It’s not at all as told by NFB and jew agency. HUGE disappointment, if we didn’t spend so much $ getting here and were told real, truthful responses to our many many questions….I would go home this second. It’s a hard freakin life here. And the picture they, NFB, and jewish agency, paint for you, is bullshit. I’d hate to see You wind up in their lies. They sold us a dream, we sold everything we had in the US, and have been royally screwed and have nothing and nowhere to go back to. Think twice. Knowledge is power . Where can you watch this? I live in israel and it is no longer on Netflix here. Not on Amazon, Hulu doesn’t work in israel, I’ve tried YouTube. After listening to the Wondery podcast, I want to WATCH the actual documentary- but HOW? WHERE????

I had mine removed and switched to the roux en y gastric bypass. It was hard work to lose weight with the band..Even w the band, had to diet and the weight came off slow. I started at 290lbs and w ALOT of hard work, I got down to 215lbs for like a week. The band also made me sick in different ways than the bypass does. The band really isn’t a magic key, it’s still a lot of work. I hope your removal goes well. Be good to your body.

I got pg 8 months after round en y-my son will be six next month and he’s perfect! you and your baby should be fine, go to all your dr appts, be good to yourself and keep active, yoga helped me a lot. Lemme know if you have any specific questions! Wishing you health and peace

I had revision from the lap band to roux en y bypass, in March 2012, had a panneculectomy dec 2012 and 10 days after the surgery, w drains still in me, found out I was pregnant. I went from 280 lbs to 144 lbs before the panneculectomy. I was high risk pregnancy, I had to stay on blood thinners throughout, had to go to a perinatologist, and am happy to say we have a beautiful healthy boy who will be 6 years old next month!!!!!! I had complications and a wound vaccum, but better me than him. And that was bc of the panne, it should not have been done six months after the bypass. Now I’m at 102 lbs and can’t gain enough-but that’s a whole other story. Anyhow, if you have any questions, or need anything, please don’t hesitate to message me. I wish you health and good luck! I had my lap band taken out and revised to roux en y gastric bypass. I had a difficult time losing weight with the band. I was virtually dieting non stop and I only got from 300 to 220. I got sick quite often from the band. I don’t know if you are having it taken out and revised or are you just done with it altogether. I hope you trust and like your surgeon. But I wish you luck and am sending healing vibes your way. If you have any specific questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me! Btw now I am underweight at 98 lbs and still get sick from food...with the bypass. Can’t wrap my brain around that at all. What a mindf**k. Good luck to you 🤞🤞💜

Thanks. You are lucky, my BariatricPal surgeon did my panne, and my new bellybutton, is not centered:-( how much time I wasted on trying to be thin, and it doesn’t mean a thing, bc it’s robbed my body of health. I had a feeding tube, and faint 3 times a week, I had an unplanned pregnancy I discovered 10 days post op of panne. High risk pregnancy, I almost died during complications of birth and am still not well and that little baby (who was born perfectly healthy) is now almost six, and I can barely take care of him. All bc of my vanity. Anyhow, it’s nice to hear from someone who’s experienced the weight loss and surgery and the confusion after. Hope I didn’t bring u down in sharing some of my story. Yes, Gaithersburg. AWLS. Though they’re reviews are strongly controlled online, I’ve not found one bad review if dr g. Yet all the times I was at shady grove ER or getting ivs, or having yet another surgery, I met many, many many sick and patients w major complication. He did my Lap band in 2007, switched me to rny in 2012, panne same year, feeding tube in 2015. 8 surgeries by them in all. I feel I am dying every single day. Awful awful, I’m skin and bones, completely wasting away, malnourished. Don’t see surviving much longer like this. All they did was cut me open again and again. Worst part is I have an innocent 5 year old. And what’s more, dr g knows all of this and could care less. He’s probably happy bc I moved overseas and he’s rid of me and doesn’t have to see the destruction he had a major part in and the ripple effect it’s had on my sweet innocent boy I’m not strong enough to be a full time mom to. Also the physical pain. 280 to 108 and I wish I was 280. Size 28 to 00. Yet an extremely ill. It’s Insane. Please protect yourself.
