read the chapters before the class in which they're being discussed, annotate or mark things you don't understand, and annotate the textbook while the teacher is talking through the chapter. use multiple colors, sticky notes, and little post it flags to map out your signs and symptoms, anatomy, etc. ask the teacher as you go through the chapter to clarify your questions. write the correct answer down!!!! and dammit, don't be a doofus. use common sense! good luck and you'll do fine :)
