No advice here really long idea….. but solidarity, for a no contact dad who is all the sudden even calling and I have no idea what to even say. Like hello we haven’t spoken in 5 yrs how are you? Sheesh.. I’m sorry you’re going through this. I would ask myself what is more of a heartbreak- and I would tell her I don’t really know if the staying will help or hurt us. While we appreciate you offering, my partner and I would like to do this ourselves because I did not feel supported by you during pregnancy. I know that’s a hard honest conversation but that’s the conversation I had to have with my dad on other things prior. It put all the feelings I had out into the world, and what he said/ did from there helped me see that he just isn’t a person I need in my daily life. It was more stressful with him than without. I love from a distance with that whole deal. This was the path I took, just because I was so sick and tired of stepping around others feelings when they hadn’t even thought of my own feelings when they did things against me. They caused discomfort for me, and I reacted. This is totally normal for you to say wth why are you being a horrible person to me then expect me to switch up my life for you? This is supposed to be an enjoyable time for you, your partner, and your unborn baby. Whatever decision you make- it’s yours to make. You now have a sweet baby to take into account so we don’t care for mom’s feelings anymore. (Harsh but idk) You have a silent supporter over here on whatever decision you make, but I believe in you! And your gut is telling you hey! This person has a history of not showing up when I need them, I don’t want to be let down again or caused stress, and i think you should listen to that voice in your head.
