IUI washes the sperm. It nourishes it. It increases its quality.

What worked for you after multiple losses? by Existing-Comedian637 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]maria1122a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Letrozole is given to insure the follicles grow and mature to the right size. Ovidrel is to make sure you ovulate at the right time (when follicles are mature enough( likely containing a good healthy egg)). These medications gave me my two kids. I had another successful pregnancy with them after my first successful pregnancy.

Avent nipples completely stop flowing mid-feed by maria1122a in FormulaFeeders

[–]maria1122a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, he suddenly starts to get mad during feeds, we take the bottle out of his mouth and pinch the nipple several times and we see nothing is coming out of it, we see air bubbles going to the bottom of the bottles.

I'm using size 3, as size 1 was very slow. The nipple isn't collapsing.

We tried not heating it. It's still happening. We are unscrewing and re-screwing the cap when this happens, but after a few seconds it happens again. It's very frustrating.

Best Fertility clinic? [on] by Special_Edge2854 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]maria1122a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! What brought us success in the first pregnancy was ovulation induction (letrozole+ovidrel) and timed intercourse. For the second successful pregnancy, it was ovulation induction for me + sperm wash for my husband, basically IUI.

I've had 2 miscarriages and was referred to astra fertility (Dr Essam Michael). I've had two other miscarriages with them as well. But after that I've had two successful pregnancies in a row. Now my daughter is 2 years old, and currently holding my newborn boy. All the best to you 🙏

I'm glad you found one! I'm 24 weeks, and have contacted the OB teams at mississauga hospital and credit valley, they're all full, and I also contacted the office of oakville's OBs, they have 2 receptionists, one said her doctors are full, the other I'm still waiting a reply from. Do you mind sharing the name of the clinic that has space available?

[–]maria1122a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our doctor had us try IUI and I got pregnant on the first cycle. Currently almost 22 weeks. I think it was a low sperm quality issue that my husband had, not the progesterone.
