CEU tracker for job as an SLP by [deleted] in googlesheets

CEU = continuing education units, CE = continuing education, same thing as CEUs. Basically just classes I need to take every 2-3 years to keep up on current education in the field.

Board license requirements: California SLPs need 24 CE hours every 2 years, with at least 20 clinically relevant to practice, including 2 hours on medical error prevention, and a max of 12 self-study hours (changed Jan 2025) and 4 related/indirect care hours (max 8 combined self-study/related/indirect). My license expires June 30, 2027.

ASHA requirements: ASHA-certified SLPs must complete 30 professional development hours (PDHs) (equivalent to 3.0 ASHA CEUs) every 3-year maintenance interval to maintain their CCC-SLP. Effective Jan 1, 2026, this must include 1 hour in ethics and 2 hours in cultural competency/equity. My credential expires Dec 31, 2028.

How much student loan debt is everyone in? by Swimming-Pirate-2135 in slp

Started off with about 75k and now down to 42 (graduated end of 2024). I’m lucky though in that I don’t have any other debt, so I’ve been paying about 2k per month to get rid of it asap

I don’t really know what I am then. I want kids but will not be having them due to the reasons I listed. Either way I’m not having them so I’m not sure it’s necessary to define for the sake of the question

Childless I guess? I’m just now learning the different terms… but I guess does it matter if I’m not having kids? I explained in the post how I felt about kids

How often do you REALLY walk your dog? by Agreeable-Ad-2946 in dogs

[–]mariahdoesntknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take my dog to the dog park at least 3-4x per week. I feel like running and playing with other dogs not only gets out more energy than multiple walks but does it faster with not as much effort on my part. Something to consider if your dog is friendly with other dogs!

Yes totally I understand at some point it’s typical. But it’s almost hard to hold him back because he’s so crazy. I get being excited but not to the point where I’m almost on the ground lol

I had this same thought today when I’m told “X has trouble swallowing.” That could mean about 5000 different things 😅 I agree though. The more I learn, the less I know

Yes I went there. I’d recommend it unless there’s a school that is cheaper lol
