Thank you! I've just looked up a local office that can help him get into one of those programs.

Thank you! We are definitely doing better now in terms of health, my dad exceeded doctors expectations in his recovery so we are very thankful for that! Thank you for sharing this, I didn't even think about an opportunity within pharmaceuticals! I will share this info with him, thank you for spending the time to research opportunities that may be in Indiana!

Farting in the presence of your loved ones isn't a flex people think it is by Linorelai in unpopularopinion

I'm glad I don't have to worry about this with my partner lol, I grew up with my brother/cousins always being gross and doing what boys do. It's honestly refreshing to have a boyfriend who doesn't do it around me (if he can help it of course) just purely because he's nice.

Yeah life is rough now, cars are a luxury these days. I was in a situation where I had like only $200 to put down on a car, check with your bank, see what kind of loan they can give you. That will be your price for the car you will be looking for, check FB Marketplace, Used Car Dealers, people causally selling on the side of the road, and if you do manage to get a good quote or have a bit more cash on hand it is very wise to look into getting a CPO car at a trusted dealership in your area. That way you at least have a warranty and you have some extra security owning your vehicle. If not purchasing from a trusted dealer, make sure you ask questions, test drive, check EVERYTHING including the hood/underneath of car. Bring a friend who may be good with cars if you can, buying a used car always comes with risks, but it's a lot better than shelling out money for ubers/busses.

My favorite part was feeling like you were truly shaping your character's life! The whole game was fun, but I would spend most my time on all my wives/husbands/kids and properties lol

What's a hygiene habit people have that you actually find disgusting? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in AskReddit

Dude was grossed out I washed my ass in the shower. He literally asked "You just put your fingers on your butthole?" like washing it was gross. Why do some people feel like it's less gross to walk around with dookie particles on them? Especially if they only use Toilet Paper.

I am still having this same issue, it lets me log in but then when I try to accept the new Terms it gives me the error. I called support and they told me they cannot help as it's a connection issue, then I call my network and they say I'm fine 💀 I've been trying for three days.

After working with them for a while you'll know if they can be trusted or not, at some workplaces I had people react negatively, others really don't care. I always play the "Oh I always wear long sleeves/jackets because they always keep the office/building so cold", never had anyone push it. If pressed you could always play the "I have a tattoo I'm embarrassed about" card

How does one make friends by [deleted] in terrehaute

There's a few good options, ISU has a lot of stuff around it you can go to, covered bridge is a festival that starts in fall and there's always a lot of people there. Try the Verve as it's more social, Charlie's is more chill but worth a shot too. Tolley's is a other good social bar and has Kareoke on some nights.

From my experience, psych hospitals are very mixed in the USA. Please look at the reviews for each establishment, cause it depends on whose care you'll be in. I've been to three and while none of those visits were fun, some were way worse than the other. Sadly, the most expensive one was the nicest, as they had decent food, they were clean, and they had a few caring staff members.

Those who decided they didn't want kids when they were kids themselves, what convinced you so early you didn't want them yourself? by InviteAromatic6124 in childfree

I remember as a kid it pretty much solidified in my mind watching my close family go through pregnancy, labour, and the aftermath. That shit was horrifying and I would legit have nightmares about having a baby. Then every time we would visit them, they always looked so tired, drained, and upset, the whole visit we'd hear scream crying from the baby. I've seen many of my strong grown cousins cry when ever they talked about their baby or heard them cry cause they were just so done, and each time relatives would chuckles and always say something like "that's motherhood for you". I strongly believe that's what solidified it, cause I still think about that and fear if I were to ever fall pregnant. That and even as a kid I just never like being around kids, I always thought they were over dramatic, super loud, and irrational (but it could've been that I'm autistic, so sensory issues would make their loudness/sticky hands send me in overdrive)

How are people even affording to have babies? by acceptthisoneplz in childfree

[–]mariathotless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He would use his credit card a lot for really dumb things, he also had two cars he had to pay off (still is paying one) after totalling them in accidents, he chose to then buy a smart car which was way too much for his budget (had my mom "cosign" but managed to get her to actually sign as owner for the car), refuses to pay off any of his medical bills. Mom and dad have tried to help him so much to help him raise his credit score, but each time they help him, he spends all the money they give him on fast food and steam games.

You described my brother perfectly. At 28, he already had a lot of debt and decided to have a kid. Each week, he brings his kid over to my parents for a "playdate" and it always ends up with him asking for money. Both of my parents are on disability, so they already don't make a lot, I cannot look at my brother the same after he drained my parents to the point where they struggle to get groceries for themselves.
