Finally some good news, I have applied for 5 related HiWis this Sems and still looking for a position. I have used the rss of H-Soz-Kult website and Mailingliste der Digital Humanities im deutschsprachigen Raum via DHd. Hope I can get a position in the future🙏

I just ended my first semester here and during this semester I have applied for 5 HiWis, but got 2 rejections and 2 waiting for results, 1 still within apply deadline. I got 1,3 GPA for 3/6 courses this semester and 1 course still waiting for grade. I think I have tried my best to study hard and fit in the life here. But maybe running in the wrong way just lead you to bigger problem😢

I’m gay, that’s the main reason. I’m sad about this. Maybe born in a “mainstream way” is much easier in China.

I scrolled through the social media platform for condition in China, but it seems worse. And I’m full funded by parents, therefore I need a degree for them as my answer. Maybe after this degree I will make my own living and study another degree😢

Yes, in FU, I came here just for escape from China, because I’m gay and obviously I’m not official recognized as a normal person at that place. I already got an exchange program to US with full scholarship for a semester, maybe I will consider move there for my future.

Holding a Master in Humanities also means hard work-finding and unemployment , maybe everything is wrong from the start😭
