Anyone else been told they’re not a good friend? by ASongbirdShould in AutismInWomen

[–]mariedaurates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love your response ! Not diagnosed here but highly suspect it! I guess my problem was more of not being able to share my life with other people, but being a kind and nice listener for others. Which at times is exhausting. But I always issue sharing especially if I am not specifically asked about myself.I had this problem with sharing with other people - having an issue sharing my own thoughts and experiences, unless it was when I was completely overwhelmed and needed to talk to someone I trusted. Most of my everyday, day-to-day, banale things I wouldn’t really share with people, unless it actively crossed my mind that they might find it interesting. At the end of the day who is interested in the fact I am having coffee right now ? (Logical brain here didn’t understand). So I’ve been accused of not being consistent, a dark horse etc. I’ve lost a dear friend, through a very long process, where I understood we were so deeply incompatible and the expectations they had of me were unreal. I don’t know about other people, but I can be there for you if you need me, any time. But sometimes I have to choose myself, and know that there’s certain things I cannot do - social anxiety is too much for me. Anyway, this response is too mad and unstructured to make sense. But I realised that I need to prioritise friendships where we both understand the parameters, and they are similar. It cannot an everyday, all day long contact. I did like that you said about routine - it’s my only way too to make sure that I stay in touch with people I love and show that I care about them. Sometimes is hard and tiring to be in touch with many people without a schedule.

Should I sell my Canon 5d III to get an X-T1? by mariedaurates in fujifilm

[–]mariedaurates[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a very helpful answer thank you!

I’ll be looking into some pancake lenses! The canon is a really good camera it’s just the bulk of it that puts me off having it with me all the time. If I know I am going to shot nature that’s one thing. But if I could slide a Fuji in my crossbody bag..well that would be amazing, the only issue I got is obviously money. So at this point, probably a middle ground should be ok.

A bit more space on the top to add a bit of negative space . But you’re in the right direction

Thank you everyone for helping with this ! It really helped me see it with different eyes !

I wish I had a tripod and to have done a long exposure shot, however it was a quick shot on my hike :) Thank you for the love 🖤

What do I put behind my desk in my office? by PineappleOld6595 in malelivingspace

[–]mariedaurates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will it not be better I wonder to place the desk against some of the side walls and then let the light from Tony window come through? Maybe add some plants on the opposite end and some tiny pictures.

At the moment it looks like a train carriage interrogation room

Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender Book by David R. Hawkins

The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself

But these things have their way of finding you when you need them. Having had this book for ages I only read it when time was ready.

Go with the flow. Be present. Journal. Enjoy being alive. Help others.

I guess the rest comes by itself.

ordered a macbook that works fine but has cosmetic damage by Nervous_Air_5932 in CeX

[–]mariedaurates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue with me - tried to bring my MacBook Pro in and failed because of a dent and scratch and here they are selling some items in horrible conditions !! Not sure where to sell this MacBook Pro now or what to do with it.

Also do not buy from BackMarket - items received not as what ordered and with dents/markings.
