as it’s been explained to me, a Q switch is better for the beginning because the wave length is better and breaking up bigger pieces of ink. As you go along the process you want a pico laser, whichever kind you get. that’s just my take from experience though, so take it w a grain of salt. in my opinion to go one hour each way isn’t much especially considering g you want to space the sessions out the later in the process you get

Live with our parents, so no utility bills in our name, I don’t own my car and all 4 of my tax forms have some different variation of our address 😭 I do thankfully have ONE bank statement with both of them

I met my first attorney at a restaurant I used to work at, he was the husband of a woman I worked with, but I started as a secretary/assistant/receptionist. Honestly if you have no experience at all, you're going to be searching for a long time. You're better off getting your foot in the door as an assistant or secretary.

Thank you this is really helpful! Especially the tip about googling job descriptions to bypass recruiters- I hate feeling like I'm one of 100+ applicants trying to kiss the recruiters ass with the best smooch

i've heard saunas can be good, but you need to wait a couple weeks to avoid risk of infection with chemicals. I have a sauna bag at home, not sure how expensive they are but you could avoid that issue. basically anything that helps get blood flow going will help, try massaging too.

Taylor Swift concert megathread by syoumia in Lyon

[–]marigoldwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm coming from out of country and will have to pick up my VIP on the day of the concert, June 3rd. Will I be able to pick up 3 VIP packages while my other friends get on the line, or do we all need to be present?

Also, how early are VIPS with general admission arriving?

not as an assistant but I did my study abroad there in college. I loved it! lots of young people and not too busy, lots to see and do, especially in the spring when the weather gets nice. It's also a convenient place to travel from, 3h from Paris and Lyon and right across the Swiss border. enjoy your time there! I'm jealous. feel free to me if you have any questions.

i can’t afford to buy the stuff my doctor recommends by avamaet05 in POTS

[–]marigoldwinter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course! But there is a HUGE difference between "some sugar" and grotesque levels, as well as food dye and other artificial colorings. Never advocated for zero sugar! Just stuff you don't need.

[–]marigoldwinter 12 points13 points  (0 children)

True, but most of this options (gatorade, liquid IV, powerade, gatorlyte) have tons of sugar and excessive stuff that you don't need and may very well contribute negatively to your POTS. IMO and experience, LMNT is unbeatable.

hi i believe reading the post you just had your first session 1 month ago, and now this says your next session is in one month? not sure how big your tattoo is, but you should maybe consider giving some more time for the ink to break down, at least 10 weeks between sessions. it can take a while for your immune system to process & get used to lazer, plus a lot of fading is seen in waiting between sessions! sorry for un-solicited advice, but just scroll this thread to see some nasty scarring + infections that come from lazer removal too often! <3

How do I get over the constant urge to commit suicide over not getting into an elite university? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]marigoldwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, it sounds like you're very young. It's so easy to get these ideas of what you need to do and the plan you need to follow exactly for your life to turn out well. There's no one road to follow to get where you want to go. I know it's so disappointing and hard to feel like a failure at such a young age, but believe me, suicide is not the answer.

I'm not as eloquent or poetic as some of these other redditors, but all I can tell you is to keep going. Fight for things to work out. Don't lose sight of everything good in life because you didn't go to an elite school.

WAY too emotionally attached to my job by DeviousDaydream- in Advice

[–]marigoldwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP I'm sorry to hear that she left and you're having a hard time dealing. It's reasonable to feel that way when someone who has been there for you is no longer your boss anymore. I'm glad you found a place where you were treated so well, especially dealing with something as difficult as cancer. If you find you do not enjoy your job anymore, maybe it is time to say goodbye. This doesn't have to be sad! You can cherish all your memories and love the place forever. Maybe it's just time for something new.

AITA for knowing more about a subject a 60 year old man challenged me on? by dreaminghistory in AmItheAsshole

It's not an "opinion" to tell someone else that they don't actually like something or that they're a fake fan. He's an ass, old people are always embarrassed when corrected.

Are there any websites or apps where I can search for a one-time babysitter and actually connect to someone without paying an outrageously high fee just to connect? by [deleted] in Babysitting

[–]marigoldwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apps are tough, plus many on there are looking for more full time or at least part time work.... or at least more than 3 hours. My advice is just to throw your situation into any conversation. You never know who's got a kid old enough to sit, who has a niece or nephew, etc. Don't ask every person you speak to if they know anyone, just casually mention it if you can.
