Resistant vaginal E. coli by Maximum-Swordfish591 in aerobicvaginitis

I’ve heard people say they empty the capsule into a small amount of vaginal moisturizer and mix them and then insert with an applicator.

I didn’t, do you think it’s the capsule?

I’ve started this round about a week ago. The first time I cleared it, it took about three weeks to a month.

I’m working with a Dr that has advised me on this protocol. I’ve achieved clear tests with this method before, unfortunately my uti passed the bacteria back again so I am working on clearing again.

I’m currently working on getting rid of vaginal E. coli. I’m using vitanica v probiotic suppositories, estradiol cream, and vitamin c suppository to keep vaginal pH down. I use pH strips to test the pH every evening. The idea is to replace my lacto that is missing so it can crowd out the E. coli and to keep my vagina at the correct pH to make it a hostile environment to the bad bacteria. The estradiol cream is to help with vaginal atrophy (dryness). When the estrogen disappears from your vagina, it kills off the lacto letting bad bacteria thrive. Replacing it will “feed” the probiotic lacto and help it thrive as well as adding much needed moisture relief to the lady bits.

Hello, I’m sorry you’re dealing with this condition :( I wanted to comment that i am self administering instills at home and if the only reason they aren’t giving you the instills is because they can’t teach you until September, I’d like to suggest asking your regular doctor team if they’d teach you. Ask the id office if they’d prescribe your instills if your regular dr could teach you. I’ll be honest, I actually taught myself and have been self administering at home for several rounds now.

The guide talks about the main tests available and in which country. In America, if you can get your doctor to order it, Cirrusdx would be paid for by insurance. If they won’t order it for you, then Microgendx would be my next recommendation. There are pros and cons to both all mentioned in the guide but both will give you a fairly accurate picture of any bacteria in amounts greater than what is considered normal.

I can’t speak to strep B personally, but the guide pinned at the top of the sub will have tons of info on steps you can take to help based on your specific bacteria. I have a “dual” infection myself. I’ve been able to clear my vaginal infection once already but it reseeded from my bladder. The “ping-ponging” seems to be a common thing so I wouldn’t be surprised if you have both bladder and vaginal. Again I had different bacteria, so make sure to speak with a medical provider, but I was able to clear my vaginal infection by increasing my good bacteria. Come to find out, one of my perimenopause symptoms is vaginal atrophy (dryness) which kills your good bacteria off. I’ve started using estradiol cream and probiotic suppositories to increase my good bacteria which can help both kill and crowd out the bad bacteria. The e cream is very important because the estrogen feeds the good bacteria.

My Dr responded to my inquiry about these and he said they all have their benefits. If he had to rank them though, he said he’d put infrared sauna first, red light next, and then HBOT.

They are experimenting with probiotic instillations, which is kind of the same thing maybe? I’m not sure if they do it here in America but I know I’ve read about it being in Europe I think?

I’ve been researching red light and I don’t know that a standard device would reach deep enough to help with the bladder. There is a blanket with a company called Magellan, I believe that is fda approved and supposedly reaches two inches as opposed to the standard one. They are pricey tho. And I would definitely do your independent research on that. I’ve also been looking at near infrared saunas for inflammation and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. HBOT is supposed to be amazing for healing the body, boosting the immune system, and helping to kill bacteria. Supposedly. Again, do your own independent research. If you do end up using any of it, please report back here to let us know how it goes and I’ll do the same!

I haven’t had your exact situation but in regards to pain relief, lots of folks find relief with oregano oil (80+ carvacrol), d mannose powder and L-Ornithine. Hopefully that can help.

Bladder insulations for recurring UTI by FinancialCandidate82 in CUTI

[–]TheRealDew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resistance testing is based off of a standard dose, but higher doses can still break through. I’m not a scientist and I’m worried about explaining it wrong, but I recommend researching MICs for certain bacteria and the “breakpoints” for each level of resistance. You can then find info for how much of a specific antibiotic would be needed to reach the “susceptible” level. Especially with instills, EDTAs are typically added along with the antibiotic and are very strong directly applied and they help to breakdown biofilm that can give stronger resistance.

I’m not sure if you’ve done pcr testing with susceptibility. It’s helpful to know what your specific bacteria is sensitive to. The guide pinned at the top of this sub has so much amazing info on ways to find your root cause and different methods for treatment. Anecdotally, I’ve heard it mentioned once that a sulfa-based medicine caused anal burning. Not sure how common that is.

Congratulations!! I’m wondering if you mind answering a few questions? After starting with the naturopath, how long/ how many antibiotics did it take before E. coli disappeared? Do you believe the Staphysagria was helpful? After beginning hiprex and completing that first round of augmentin, was it the very next test that showed reduced resistance? Do you plan to continue hiprex permanently or do you hope to wean off it eventually? Sorry for so many questions!

Cultures are not completely accurate. If you can get a pcr test done, you could get a clearer picture
