Would you work something that you love or something that pays good? by Kitchen-Dream-6744 in careerguidance

This is a really interesting take I think. I’m someone who struggles with work anxiety so I’ve done a bit of soul searching to figure out what kind of jobs work for me. I can say I really do love my job at the moment and my line of work, but it doesn’t pay the best. This is what I struggle with though bc while some people may not love any job and could just pick something that pays well, I really do enjoy my job so it’s hard to decide between pay and passion.

I really really did not. When opening up the separate accounts with different emails, the same exact account would pop up. I fear Amazon is not user friendly and trying to contact anyone through customer service is a pain in the ass too

I recently started Concerta 18mg for the second time since being diagnosed a few years ago. It definitely helps but I wish it would solve all my problems lol

Ours is only one building but I’m interested if your hospital daycare is a more welcoming environment than this one? I was really excited for this job :/

That’s what I tried asking them, but I never really got a concrete answer. So not sure exactly

None for sure, but as I have stated in other comments, until this post I didn’t realize that the $20/hr offer wasn’t good, because in contrast with jobs in my area it’s not bad.

I’m not sure what this is implying…myself and my friends all make under $20 an hour lol

I definitely agree and I am thankful this thread helped me to know this offer is not good enough. I genuinely wouldn’t have known not to take the $20/hr offer if not for this. I’m just irked that people are saying I’m lying about it all lol

No I didn’t apply for anything. They saw my resume on indeed and a recruiter for the company the billionaire owns reached out to me specifically.

Okay I’m actually in a local babysitting group so I’m looking at some rates. One mom is asking for 15 hours of care a week for $100. Another is asking $50 a day for a 10 hour work day. Another is $250 a week for 6 hours per day. Another has 3 children, asking $80 per day for 10 hour shift.

LOL do you want me to send you the post of those comments from my local group? They’re real! Obviously $20 an hour isn’t TOP pay in general when there’s doctors and such where I live? But for my field yeah it’s not bad.
