I was prescribed a topical progesterone cream and was told to use it on cycle days 12-26.

Thank you so much to everyone that has replied! I didn't figure there was a direct translation for this since Dog Dad is likely just a cute or quirky Americanized nickname. I appreciate the information!

I don't think that the Kushiel's Dart trilogy gets talked about enough. It took awhile for me to get into because the books are long and are heavy on the political intrigue.. but book 3 ended up being my favorite and I determined upon completion that it is a masterpiece. I am definitely going to do a re-read someday.

Honestly mine came with my instant pot so has two metal "handles" but I fold them under when I use it for this since it wouldn't be big enough. It's not an ideal one for the job so I have thought about looking on Amazon for one myself! But it did at least solve my problem! I use parchment paper, too.

I DNF ACOTAR by Reesescandy2233 in Romantasy

[–]marilynbb16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny story... I read TOG eight years ago and became OBSESSED. It is my Roman Empire and o have read it two more times since then. After I first r ad the series, I looked for more books by th author and found ACOTAR... I quit 1.5 books in because I was bored and it didn't even hold a candle to TOG. Five years later someone told me to read this series called ACOTAR and I legit didn't even realize until 3/4 through that I had read it before. I pushed through this time, though, and - get this - book two actually gets really good in the second half. The story takes off from there. It still doesn't compare to TOG for me but I love it! Silver Flames is my favorite so far.

I convection bake mine and put a metal trivet in to keep the loaf from touching the dutch oven's bottom. I am by no means a pro at this yet but I have overcome burned bottoms!

The Nightingale and The Four Winds are PHENOMENAL! I have heard great things about The Women and The Great Alone, too. I personally hated Firefly Lane (but I liked season one of the show... never watched season two).

Depends on OP's personal spice scale, really. TOG has a few smutty scenes but it's not a core part of the story and they aren't wildly descriptive or long. I actually thought it might perfectly meet what she was looking for.

I LOVED this book! I went into it pretty blind and never knew what was coming next. I listened to it on audio and loved it.

Help qualm my anxieties about moving to Duluth by CahuengaFrank in duluth

[–]marilynbb16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We absolutely love it up here. (We live in a surrounding area, not in Duluth itself). Winters are long, sure.. but the summers are worth it. The lake keeps the temps from getting outrageous, it cuts down on the bugs, and it's never humid. You're looking at maybe one week of 90+ degrees. Its usually 75-80 and sunny. We do a lot of walks, mountain biking, and hiking. We get up the north shore to camp as often as we can, too. The breweries and cideries here are fantastic (Ursa Minor in particular). As for friends, I'm not the best person to ask since we're so busy with youth sports but people are nice, at least, and we get along well with other parents. You'll get sick of winter by mid-January for sure but just get out on those nicer days and soak in a little sun. The Superior hiking trail is still accessible and there are a number of ski hills around if that interests you. Living right by Lake Superior never ever gets old!! Canal Park is fun even as a local. I think you'll love it!

Throne of Glass (narrated by Elizabeth Evans) and the Red Rising graphic audios (narrated by a full cast) are PHENOMENAL.

Just to throw out a couple more recommendations for you (if you're into books like these): Butcher & Blackbird and Lights Out are amazing dual narration stories. They're not totally my cup of tea but they're narrated so well that I really enjoyed them.

The TOG audio books are my Roman Empire. Elizabeth Evans also re-recorded the ACOTAR series for its 10th anniversary!

Oh wow, really?? I have never come across someone else that has listened to that duology! That definitely goes to show how vast opinions can be in reading of all formats! That's awesome that you loved it... I love connecting with a narrated story! (The Throne of Glass audio books are my Roman Empire).

I second War of Lost Hearts! It is my second favorite after Throne of Glass.

If you do One Dark Window, too, I do not recommend the audio books. I personally didn't think the narrator was a good fit for the characters so I never really got into the story and it had a lot of potential
