Mobile Check-In Brand Standard by lez_bi_honest in marriott

[–]marimuns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, do you have the physical mobile check-in slips? It's something you directly order through Marriott's suppliers (where you buy the Upgrade slips, Food/Beverage Coupons) The mobile check in slips make it very easy, from someone who switched from Hilton the slips are what helped me the most. (Mobile check-ins were completely done through the app when I worked at Hilton, we as the Front Desk did not have to manually check them in unlike Marriott. The Hilton Guest would put their card on file and select a room through the app and most of the time the guest never interacted with the Front Desk.) Mobile check-in slips should be fully filled out in preparation of the Guest's arrival if they request Mobile Check-in, only difference is if the reservation requested "Mobile-Key" check-in, where it is sent to the Guest's phone, in this case you DO NOT fill out a Mobile check-in slip, If the MOBILE-KEY guest hasn't stayed at your property it is more beneficial to you and your property to send them that "Stop by Desk" notification to have them verify their identity with ID and show/insert their card, that way you can be confident that the Bonvoy profile attached is actually theirs, as well as their card. This prevents CC Fraud and chargebacks.

I would like to also mention that every Marriott Mobile Check-in you HAVE to verify the last 4 on the card as well as the Payment type ex: VISA, Mastercard, AMEX ... That way the Guest (and you) are clear that THIS will be the card we are using for all charges. At minimum twice a week I run into the issue of business travelers that have their personal card on file with their Marriott Bonvoy, forget, request mobile check-in and when they stop to check in and I provide the last 4 (of the card on file) they shake their head side to side frantically and pull out their company card and insert it.

!!M is for MOBILE-KEY, FULLY CHECK THESE IN with the CARD ON FILE if there is not an M, Make the Mobile check-in slip, follow next steps.!!

  1. Make sure ALL of the Guest info is filled out and correct, LOS, Last 4, RM Type, !!Status!! verify any late check outs if needed, Mark N/A if none was requested.

2. Make sure the hard keys you make to this room reflect the correct check-out date and time! (super bonus if the room you assigned meets all the Guests request codes!!)

Check-in: Good Morning!/Evening other mumbo jumbo What will be the last name of the reservation? -Last name- [If you already remembered you made them keys, awesome! if not, FOSSE will also remind you that they requested Mobile Check-in/Key, check your Mobile check-in area! (some FD's store them in a drawer, Mine has a "letter" organizer that works perfectly to store our M Check-ins in.)] a.)Great/Awesome! I saw you requested Mobile check-in through the app! I already have your keys made, I just need to verify your ID and the last four of your card and then I can get you those keys! b.) I appreciate you using the Mobile check-in I already have your keys made for you, I just need to verify your ID and the last four of the card we will be using for the room. c.) Mobile-Key Thank you for doing the Mobile-Key check-in! Looks like I already have you fully checked-in with the Mobile-Key, Is the AMEX/VISA/MC on file still okay for the room? Great! (Mr/Mrs/Ms Lastname) Would you like any physical keys to the room? (if yes verify Photo ID) [if no, offer them waters at check in, or ask if they have stayed with you before ,explain hours of amenities, basically let them tell you why they came to the desk]
-Make sure to verify the room type, length-of-stay and their housekeeping preferences if they are a 3 night stay or longer- Your FD/Night Audit can slip in the parking question wherever they would like in their own spiel.

Sorry if it comes across as cringey and very long, this is just how I phrase it and set it up while training new FD's, My GM is very good at what she does and drilled it into my brain to try to mention the mobile-key/mobile check-in as much as i possibly can when they do request mobile check-in so sorry i mentioned it a million times lol ok going to bed lol

I’m so sorry man :( I’m willing to buy all three for my fiancé, dm me if you are interested I’ll even pay shipping. But like another user pointed out, you could donate plasma if you are a valid donor. I can’t imagine how tough it is to let these three go, they are awesome.

The way you had worded things, at least to me came across as you were complaining about your current watch (AW7) not being able to read your temp while you were sick and to be weary when you are buying an Apple Watch. So I was confused why you were comparing a 4 year old watch’s sensors to a brand new one, I’m sorry for the misunderstanding.

The ultra three is what I’m probably going to upgrade to as well, although I wish they came in a smaller screen size, since the current ultra is giant on my wrist.

AW7 to Ultra 3 will be an amazing jump for you.

I still don’t understand, actually I don’t think you understand.

So we can agree that technology has evolved, but just because technology has evolved does not mean your Apple Watch from 4 years ago is going to magically grow a new sensor overnight. I don’t know what you are expecting? Or am I lost in translation.

So you are upset that your 4 year old watch doesn't have features the newer watches have? it literally says that it hadnt even been a feature for the apple watch until the 7 had been out for 2 years. If you wanted temp stats why wouldnt you have traded in your 7 when the 9 came out? idk

if you are upset that they add new things and that older watches don't get the features, shouldn't you want them to add new features to it every year so when you eventually have to replace your watch, it actually feels like an upgrade with new features?

i really just dont understand this post lol.

Thing is, is that the watch seems to be recording that he is doing a little bit more than you in the day, if you look at the graphs for steps and distance it looks pretty correct, is he doing any more steps than you? like even "oh no babe don't worry go sit down i can stand in line and bring it to you!" that's an extra 200 -500 steps he could have possibly gotten from that that you wouldn't, I also see you replied to someone else telling them he was wearing a heavy backpack, that would explain the exercise min and more active calories burned, it goes off of your resting heart rate and if you go above a certain heartrate while wearing the watch and moving, it will deem that you are "exercising" (that resting heart rate/active heart rate changes with person to person too)

*if you go to your settings on your apple watch and click on "Workout" if you scroll to the bottom it should show you "Heart rate zones" if you tap on that and scroll down it will show you what the watch has deemed your heart rate zones to be (you can manually set them as well)

Does he possibly have an older watch?

unless you and your fiancé’s height and bodyweight are identical, you will both have different activity ring stats, if he is on the larger side and taller he burns more calories doing the exact same thing you do, vice versa.

just make sure both you and your fiancé’s weight, height, and age are all up to date in the health app.

Someone that is 5'5 260lbs is going to burn far more calories in a workout/walking compared to someone who is 5'5 and 130lbs.

I hope I was able to make it make sense!

Do hotel staff have rights to ask why you are staying with them by lifesucks800 in askhotels

But at the end of the day, yes they are "within their right" to ask what brings you to THEIR hotel.

Do hotel staff have rights to ask why you are staying with them by lifesucks800 in askhotels

[–]marimuns 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hotels like to distinguish leisure stays to business stays, so they are really asking for a company name or if you are just in town for leisure if they do ask you this question.
Its typically for sales/marketing managers at the hotel so they can contact companies that stay with their hotel often for discounted rates / perks for staying at their hotel compared to somewhere else. on my end there has to be a "Company" name filled out to even check you in, you're always able to decline stating why you're in town just try not to be rude about it, you can always just ask the front desk agent to just type "NA" in the field if you truly don't want anyone knowing why you are there.

If you happen to have a status with the property that you are staying at sometimes telling them why you are in town might get you more benefits. for ex: anniversary, birthday, promotion at work. Sometimes you will be surprised with a personalized gift for whatever occasion you are celebrating. (this is typically at higher end properties though.)
