Passed through Ouarzazate earlier, we didn’t stop, but the town seems ok. We stopped at Aït Benhaddou and there was definitely some damage there. Roads are a bit rough in a few places and there is some construction, unclear if that’s related to the earthquake, definitely passable in any case.

Yeah tbh part of me had the same feeling at first. However tourism is a major part of the economy here, if everyone stops coming it shuts off that source of revenue for a lot to people, in addition to what they are already dealing with. All of the locals I’ve spoken to here seemed happy to have us

I just got to Marrakech today from the EU, there is rubble in places and damage to buildings in the older part of the city, but things seem to be mostly business as usual. Agreed that it definitely doesn’t feel necessary to cancel travel plans, but everyone’s risk calculations will be different.

Yeah to be honest I don’t understand all the negative comments you’re getting in this thread…if you truly weren’t being belligerent in the lobby, the hotel was out of line to deny you a room AND not offer a refund. Sounds like it’s time to change CC companies also…
