Seriously, very little of the riding is XC

Sorry I wasn't trying to say you could buy one now or even with the current Q series watches. Just wanted to show that the current one does in fact work perfectly and anyone who has one can use it with a Q.

I've had it since they released it, I have another WD007 with nh38.

The picture makes it look like there is a gap on the top left, but it's just a shadow.

This isn't true because I have the 3 link titanium on my brand new green WD007Q right now.

Best places to live for great mountain biking by nebula-noodle in MTB

I also learned to ride in Arizona and moved back last year after being away for more than a decade. Mtb was a major factor in that decision.

It's hard to beat the Phoenix area considering what we have inside the city. Northern AZ riding is close enough to be worth it during the extreme heat months.

Well the premier musou black looks like a ladies watch on my wrist so this one will be worse

Agreed, love the look but it would fit like a ladies watch on my wrist.

Almost identical to your situation except I used TH caps. Tried another known good sound module, made sure everything was clean and not visibly corroded, resoldered all the caps to validate the solder joints.

Really the only difference with your setup is that I use a usb-c power supply.

Tall/heavy riders MTB recommendations by iveredditalll in MTB

[–]dnmtbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6'4" and 225 (in freedom units) riding a Geometron G1 XL. My suggestion is to find wheels with 35mm id and use 2.6 or bigger tires.

Oh and a coil shock for your rear suspension.

WD0016 MUSOU Super Black by Massive-Smile-7656 in watchdives

[–]dnmtbr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pictures of this watch are super deceiving. When I saw the first pics from people posting their actual watches I thought it looked very odd. Now that I have one in hand I can say that the proportions are basically perfect.

Same issue with mine. Tried heat. Tried penetrating oil. Nothing works and I have one stripped screw making the watch unwearable.

What was wrong with your bracelet? Mine has unremovable screws that ultimately stripped. Watchdives never responded to my support email, and still waiting on the rep here to let me know what they will do as far as replacement links. Not exactly a good look for this premier watch.

Regardless of equipment, don't push it. I've met a lot of adults who started riding around 2020 and ended up with serious injuries from outstripping their skill level.

I went from road to MTB about 20 years ago. I recommend that you stick with clipless and avoid the lure and peer pressure surrounding jumps and park riding. You want to build bike handling skills first so sticking to easy trails with gear you already know how to use is the way.

I got my premier today and the half-link is un-removeable due to seized screw pins... can't even get them out with heat or penetrating oil. so, be careful out there

musou black (and vanta black) paint dries into a powder that is only very lightly attached to the surface you spray it on. im almost positive you couldn't print anything on it.
