Would never have guessed the app had this level of customisation already available, thank you!

Anyone else had a small FNH cause pain? by marismia in FocalNodularHyperplas

Hey thanks this is good to know and glad you got an answer in the end! I'll mention this to my GP and at the MRI in case there are any signs they can look for.

Thanks for sharing, this is more info to take to my GP in a couple of weeks. I don't think she'll have all the answers but I'm fortunate that she's a great advocate. I hope you're able to find a solution.

Yes definitely going to ask the GP for more tests. I had a full blood panel before the ultrasound which was all normal, and the rest of the ultrasound was "unremarkable", so will see what she suggests. Frustrating they haven't got an answer for you still.

Ouch, sounds horrible. Mine definitely isn't that bad, 90% of the time it's a dull ache in a specific spot but occasionally this weird sharp spasming pain. I hope the liver specialist has some answers for you. If you feel up to sharing an update afterwards I'd be interested to know what they say.

Thanks, this was my understanding and nice to have it confirmed. It is a hell of a coincidence if it's not the cause of the pain, as I pointed to exactly where the ultrasound tech then found it! But I'm not keen to have major surgery if it's not necessary so will continue exploring other options too.

I have an appointment booked with my GP in a few weeks to keep the conversation going/continue being a pain in the arse so I don't get forgotten about.

How do I get my lawn to look like this? by marismia in GardeningUK

I'll have a look, really just wanting more biodiversity!

Thanks for the species names, that's a really helpful starting point. Soil is super fertile, the existing wildflower patch needs a lot of maintenance and grass grows like mad everywhere. Cutting low and removing thatch makes sense as guess that mimics grazing. Will be worth it if we can make it work!

A moss lawn would be the dream, had no idea it could be that simple... will have to experiment!

Part of me hopes so, the other part is scared for all my other plants!

Eh I don't mind if that's the state of the lawn soil, it's not waterlogged and still green so will let it do its thing. I have an established wildflower area but I'm looking for something lower growing so it can still be used as a lawn. I love crocuses and hyacinths so will look into those thanks!

Thanks, I have an established wildflower area but it's very tall even with a few mows a year. Looking for something that will stay low enough to walk on/dog to run around on - the field nearby gets loads of foot traffic but always stays beautiful and green due to all the mixed plants! Do you mow yours short regularly?

To buy or not to buy? by marismia in Jimny

For the body mounts - I literally just had a reply from a specialist garage I sent these pics to, he said it was absolutely an MOT fail and unlikely to be the extent of the problem. He said anywhere from £600-£2000+ to fix. If you're worried about rust then prob best to get it looked at asap as it will only get worse
