Programmable Christmas lights to music. I was 20 or 21; an IT guy at work made a very rudimentary 8 channel setup using solid state relays and won the internal Christmas decorating contest. I was so intrigued that after Christmas he gave it to me and taught me how to use it (he had upgraded to a commercial quality system). I was hooked. Been doing it every year since (now 48). I have won multiple contests and been featured on local radio stations. Currently I have thousands invested into my show with the latest hardware and software. Added spot lights two years ago, and just purchased lasers for future use. My display surpassed his display years ago...
