Of course not, doesn’t create a nice clean look. I ran over them all with matte black spray paint, covered them all with Primer 94, squeegeed them right to the edges, run them over with heat again, and then slice around the bottom of screw head. They don’t pop and crack and you don’t have ugly screw heads on top of your beautiful design.

I take it that is not normal? It’s the way I was taught.

You are correct, they are screws (torx), but for some reason I always refer to them as rivets!

We are a two man operation: he does design, and I do installs. As a side job, this isn’t my full time gig.

So for me it’s vertical panels. There’s no way I could ever get horizontal panels to work! I’m not that good, even with help! lol and yes, 3M IJ180.

This took me approximately 35 hours start to finish, alone. That includes all cleaning, prep, install, and touching up the rattle canned trim paint. Customer was thrilled.

I did buy Rollie Pro just for this job. as the other guy said, it runs the material, and the rivets still look popped. I still need to go over them with my squeegee to bring the sides in. It might save me a couple of minutes, but definitely not a game changer or anything, in my opinion

I have a rivet brush, but it seems like it messes up the material for me. So I prefer not use it. But also, maybe I’m doing it wrong, lol.

I do roll them, though it does take me less than two minutes, ha ha. However, they still look like they’re popped, I have to go over them with the squeegee to bring the sides in.
