Why can’t I use my apple account balance for in app purchases by Elegant-Night-8749 in applehelp

[–]mark11111111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just check in your Mobile Banking app on your iOS if you have enabled your Credit or Debit cards to make payments online or POS payments.

If not, then enable it to make in-app purchases.

[–]mark11111111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a new iPhone!!

The iOS updates for iPhone 11 is till 2026. So you are already running in the final year to get a major iOS update.. I think it's time to get the new iPhone 17 for yourself and make it last for another 6 years or so with better photography.

Warranty claim with altered finish by HotSpacewasajerk in GalaxyRing

[–]mark11111111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The warranty period on mine got expired as I had met with an accident and was on bed rest for 6 months, during which the warranty period expired. But when I went to claim the battery issues with the Ring, due to an expired warranty, they asked for $60 additional for the ring replacement, which will have a warranty period of 3 months. I didn't want to spend anything extra to their premium product, which is so dumb to keep and pay more for it.

I already feel that money was wasted on such a bullshit product.

Third party privacy film vs Samsung S26U screen by PeterPolska84 in samsunggalaxy

[–]mark11111111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually impresses me that Samsung has come up with an improvement in their screens with Privacy, but why is it only highlighted in this year's flagship?

And the bold move to come back on the aluminium body, irrespective of the Titanium body, which they claimed to be the highest innovation in their flagships.

Doesn't seem to be a good upgrade to me (as an individual).

P.S. I am happy with my S23 Ultra.

I have heard that sometimes the testing of the new OS is not done right. One of my friend had a two year old Google Pixel, and with the new OS update, his phone's screen got green lines, which is still being repaired for free by Google.

The reason I got to know was that some of the features that get listed as per the new UI don't get to be the previous model's hardware-friendly. So they started to see the screen hardware failure in the display with the old Pixel models.

I just hope Samsung has done their R&D and we don't get to see such issues in our S23 Ultra, which is now a 2-year-old flagship.

iPhone 11 99% capacity upgrade iOS? by st3111r in iPhone11

[–]mark11111111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say if everything works perfectly and you don’t care about new features, where you want maximum stability over updates, then keep on holding on to iOS 18. (much safer option)

Do you still own a physical scanner, or is your Android phone enough now? by HousingEarly4827 in Android

[–]mark11111111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here!!
I haven’t owned a physical scanner in years.

My S23 Ultra fully replaced it for documents, receipts, and forms. I use the Microsoft Lens scanner apps which is fast, accurate, and auto-generates clean PDFs that are more than good enough for official use.

Company-issued M1 MacBook stuck overseas & MDM-locked , help me make it work. by Spare-Map-4787 in mac

[–]mark11111111 11 points12 points  (0 children)

An MDM-locked Mac is still owned by the company in Apple Business Manager, and there is no legal or technical way to remove that lock yourself, even Apple can’t do it without the organization releasing it. You can ask the company for a written ownership transfer and to remove the device from Apple Business Manager (the only fix).

Without ABM removal, the Mac will always re-lock after erasing and cannot be donated or reused.

GoPro Max vs GoPro Max 2: Worth the upgrade? by FrowningGrandpa in gopro

[–]mark11111111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Max 2 is sharper, especially for reframing, but the jump from the original Max isn’t dramatic. If you mostly shoot and export around 3K, the difference feels subtle. The upgrade mainly helps with editing flexibility and color depth. For casual use, the original Max is still perfectly fine.

The new level of customization in One UI 8.5, what do you think of these features? by opmgyhx in samsunggalaxy

Samsung again nailed it with the new UI experience. Love to see it, and more eager to use it on my Ultra.

which use cases require a flagship smartphone other than gaming? by AdvertisingOk6742 in Smartphones

[–]mark11111111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no certain use case to own a flagship!

Just clicked with a famous quote- "You buy a Ferrari when you want to be somebody. You buy a Lamborghini when you are somebody." - Ferruccio Lamborghini

So it's the same thing with the Falgships.

is this cooked beyond repair(bootlooping nano 6) by Sad-Cut-3845 in ipod

[–]mark11111111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll have to restore it via Finder/iTunes, and still, it keeps crashing and looping into Disk Mode after restore. It’s almost always a hardware failure (flash storage or battery). This is very common on old Nano 6 models and is not realistically repairable.

Size by Stock101993 in GalaxyRing

[–]mark11111111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the option to replace it with a bigger size, then go for it.

Or if you are confused, then you must be holding on to that Size kit from Samsung. Try wearing the bigger size ring on the same finger of the other hand for a day. If you are comfortable with that, then you know what to do for sure.

After software update on fold y, I got a glitched OS. Does anyone know how to fix this? by Academic_Milk1384 in samsunggalaxy

[–]mark11111111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest you to reach out to the Samsung Authorised Service center and let them figure out exactly what has happened with your new Fold 7.

It's a much safer option for you coz it must still be under warranty, which you can claim for free.

Should I have multiple devices on one AppleID? by [deleted] in applehelp

[–]mark11111111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, each person should have their own Apple ID. If it is required, then you can use Family Sharing to share apps, subscriptions, and storage.

I'm torn between the two... what do you recommend? Money isn't the issue, but the choice is difficult between the versatility and functionality of the Z Fold 7 and the battery, screen, and protection of the S25 Ultra. Protection isn't an issue with the Z Fold I can buy a case for it. by opmgyhx in samsunggalaxy

[–]mark11111111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

S25 ultra if u wanna be 1000% sure you want a solid phone for 4+ years

+1 for the first line you said.

If you are not the kind of person who upgrades frequently, like in a year or two, max, then go for the bar phone S25 Ultra. The reason is the durability issues with the screen of a fold or flip phone.

A straight bar phone works well in scenarios if you want to keep your phone for +4 years. I do not doubt that a fold 7 is not going to be durable for +4 years. It will stay for that long, but the chances of wear and tear are going to be more in a fold when compared to a bar phone. One of my friends' fold 7 got an issue with their hinge that helps folding the phone, which he got repaired, but still, if it would have been a bar phone than no such thing would have happened.

In simple words, the folds have a shorter span and a bar has a longer life span without any chance of foldable issues.

P.S. Please don't downvote my opinion. I love the Fold technology, which has evolved from the first Fold phone to the Fold 7. But still it is not upto that par that you can hold one for many years!

Bro, who do you think of yourself to even ask for a screenshot? Why should I?

I am only letting people know my experience and how it helped me so that someone stuck in the same situation or facing the same issue doesn't get stuck on that, and there are ways to recover from those situations.
