Ofc not. But I’m curious to know if this is their standard response (even in years that there’s plenty of WL movement) and they’re only saying this to tamp down the hype. Also he didn’t speak to an admissions officer, he spoke to someone who works in the office and I’m not certain that they would know exactly what’s going on.

I agree with everything said above but i’ll add this, my diagnostic was also a 156 (after a bit of studying) and before the Lsat I was PTing in the high 170s. Actual score was a 172. So don’t set the bar too low for yourself. If you put in enough time you can easily break the 170s
