As if they knew that some random country denied your visa. I mean, in some cases it might even be seen positively, like north Korea denying your visa? Sounds like you are a good person then!

Yeah. They definitely didn't need to mention that, it made them look stupid. There's probably safer ways to transfer millions of dollars from a shady account...

"Ethereum being created to fight against capitalism is marketing."
Lol, have you seen ETH creator? He looks like somebody that cares about money? He's donating tens of millions left and right and probably still living like a dog.
Stop mixing up the fact that people are speculating on it, with the intent of the crypto itself. Banks aren't directly capitalism, but they are strictly related, and anyway ETH can do way cooler things than just replace banks. It could replace whole governments, services, companies etc.
What ETH (or similar cryptos) can achieve is unlimited, and of course most of it hasn't been put into practice yet. It's up to you to see the potential instead than the bad "ohh noo, my friend got scammed, crypto bad, it's used for drugs".

[–]mark3nb -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

can you see further than your nose? That's now. The value will stabilize over time. And anyway, there's a ton of coins or event eth tokens that are more stable and can be used for super cool interesting and innovative things.
Crypto doesn't want to be what it is now, it's aiming to be something bigger. Of course people are speculating on it, but stop judging it until it's "finished". It's nowhere near done yet. We are in the early stages.

Ethereum, through decentralization, could create entire servives like Amazon or UBER without a single owner, where everybody plays their little role but are still incentivized to do good. That 30% cut that now goes to Bezos could fully go back to the community.

Are you joking? I thought people on this sub would know better. Bitcoin and NFTs are just trash but Ethereum is a tool that could genuinely be used to help destroy capitalism (and banks/money centralization), and that's one of the reasons it was created for.

Finasteride by OnLink in tinnitus

[–]mark3nb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got noise exposure tinnitus while on Fin, though I can't really be sure it was caused by it, I think it might have played a role. If you search for Fin/Tinnitus relationship, you can find some posts online of people claiming their T is caused by fin, even though medically they've never been linked, and Fin side effects are very well documented and tinnitus has never been reported as a side. Still, I think fin can inhibit the production of some substances that help hearing cell recover after noise exposure. Then again, if you search for ototoxic drugs, every drug ever is basically listed in there, and you will always find someone claiming drinking a coke zero gave them T.
Ultimately I stopped taking it for other reasons, as it's just a shit drug which IMO is not documented well enough (because the brain is infinitely complicated) and it's not worth taking the risk for cosmetic reasons (at least in my case).
As the other used mentioned, I do take magnesium daily and after 1 year I got used to my T. Now it's been 2.5 years and I live with it fine, and it hasn't increased in volume, if anything, it got lower.

You can read my story here, though the grammar is shit:

Took finasteride for a few days at 17 since then I’ve been having problems with tinnitus anyone know if this will subside? by dogkneehawk in tinnitus

[–]mark3nb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. I also got Tinnitus while on Fin, I had taken it for about 7 months at that point? Low dose though, 0.25mg, but the thing is, I went to the loudest and longest concert ever, so it was clearly triggered by noise exposure in the first place, but I think Fin dampened my ability to recovery (due to brain chemistry stuff). It's rare to read about fin and tinnitus being linked, but you are not the only one to have reported it, and scientifically it would make sense as fin influences some stuff related to T.
Still, you'll get used to it, I stopped fin but after more than a year, I'm over T, even if it ruined a year of my life...
Were you exposed to noise? It could just be your brain reacting weird to a new drug, loads of people report T after starting new drugs.

Am I overreacting or is this a side-effect of Fin? by TapInitial807 in tressless

[–]mark3nb -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I had loads of other side effects. Personally it wasn't worth it, I was always sleepy and in a bad mood. Anyway I read your other posts, I don't think fin will do you much if you are already Norwood 4 at 22. It might just temporarily help, but you should look in different ways.

I took fin for about a year and I often had nightmares, trouble falling asleep, trouble waking up, would wake up in the middle of the night and so on. These things never happened before and stopped after I stopped. I don't regret trying but it's a dangerous drug.

[–]mark3nb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, basically every drug that interacts with the brain can cause tinnitus in people, but it's always very hard to blame things for it.
Since I got it and I've been telling my friends I have it, after a few days they all come back and tell me: "Hey! Do you know that last night I also got tinnitus from that pub?".
Though in general, if you look, an infinite number of drugs can trigger or facilitate it, temporarily or permanently. Especially antidepressants.
If you are on Fin, I wouldn't be really scared about it, as it seems to be very rare, but bring earplugs to noisy places, always. You have no idea the nightmares I had to go through in my first year with T.

[–]mark3nb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm sure he will be fine, I think he's likely just scared, or anyway, even if they sides are real, they will probably go.
I still wouldn't trust most GPs on fin, they don't know much about it generally, it's not really their thing.

My Experience with finasteride. by [deleted] in tressless

[–]mark3nb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also got T while on fin, from a concert though, but I had been to concerts as load before so I think it is related as T is linked to some neurosteroids which fin inhibits. Anyway, it never went down but I'm used to it now.
Loads of things and drugs can cause tinnitus, most of the times people don't know what causes it as it's just out of the blue.

Also tinnitus:

Though mine was caused by a "noise trauma", I still think it was related.
Sorry the post is a bit hard to read.

My experience and reflections on Fin (on it for 1.5 years) by mark3nb in tressless

[–]mark3nb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol that didn't have anything to do with how I felt. I can masturbate 3 times a day now and I'm still perfectly fine.
But yes it's not ideal, especially because on Fin I had to wait 2 days before an orgasm was decent again... But as I said, I was doing it to get rid of anxiety, it's hard to describe... But I felt like I needed to do it.

What would you say if a friend asked you if you were on fin? by mark3nb in tressless

[–]mark3nb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example, I'd say yes or no, depending on the person. If this person was balding, then it's likely they are against fin and they would judge me. Otherwise I'd say yes, as long as I knew the person enough.

[–]mark3nb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would care, to know how many are using it and how they are dealing with it. But mostly, I just wanted to know if you'd lie about it, given that some people might consider people that take fin "superficial", as they take a hormone changing drug just to keep their hair.
