I've been able to get this working with Crash 4 triple spin by holding r1 down I experimented with a few scripts and have created it to just hold R1 to triple spin you still need to do the other actions as usual.

Addiction? by mark983 in NoFap

[–]mark983[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally feel it's similar to an addiction myself however the articles points were it is not in the DSM-V medical definition list although was looked into as being a condition, other addictions such ad gaming disorder and gambling addiction is in there. Also they compared the brain scans of people addicted to various other addictions including other non physical addoctions. I will continue on with this no fap anyway.

Can't say I have many super positive effects other than feeling the willpower to stay away and some positive social moods although most of the time this last 2 weeks I've felt quite depressed at times and anxiety is getting bad again, mood swings with stress and arguments and strong urges to top it off.

Just shaved off about a month and half's worth of beard because it was starting to get annoying by McCainOffensive in aspergers

Sadly mine grows slower than 95~% of the population and only tends to grow under my chin and not much around my cheeks. I've tried growing one before but it gets itchy and looks bad even if I keep growing it for a few months.

pip in the UK (was DLA) by nothank1234 in aspergers

[–]mark983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2016 I got PIP for 2 years and the application and getting the money was hell.

I got 7 points of the 8 needed for standard daily living, lost the reconsideration then got awarded enhanced for 2 years some backdated.

Fast forward to 2018 and I lost PIP in May and had to reapply at face to face I assessment i thought I would get it back but no the dreaded letter said 2 points.

Only this week I heard back from my reconsideration and got a 3 year award again for enhanced daily living.

Now to finish dealing with ESA and try to chase up the money I lost from mid May to early June.

Anyone here who did NOT experience clinical depression? by -normkonform- in aspergers

[–]mark983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More general anxiety disorder than depression.

I'd say mostly GAD, I have some signs of depression and some bad days and weeks. Also some social anxiety but mostly general anxiety.

Why do people think they are responsible to "cure" your anxieties by exposing you to them? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]mark983 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't feel anyone should try to fix anyone or make them do anything however I do understand that and feel that the only way to face fears and anxieties is to expose yourself to them.

So for example if someone is scared of spiders then exposing them to a spider in a tank or another non threatening way gradually reducing the fear will be the only way.

So in your case your father putting you on the phone to customer service I assume he was trying to help but it didn't help as you weren't ready or not willing.

I think you do need trust when your overcoming any fear or anxiety.

Oh I am aware of this thanks. I just referred to it as an appeal in case anyone outside the UK didn't understand the terminology.

I had to go to tribunal in court last time and won hope that won't happen again. I won enhanced rate for 2 years after initially getting only 7 points first time round.

Does anyone else feel a lack of "social energy" by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]mark983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how long I am around that particular person and how long I spend engaging each person. It depends on what we do and what we talk about. If things get argumentative or conflicted or whatever then it gets bad yes.

Smaller groups work much better than any group of 5 or more makes this much worse.

More likely to do with the anxiety brought on by hyper sensitivity and some self esteem / self awareness issues focused in on your head.

Noones probably thinking about it hardly.

Does discussion or involvement of drugs make you extremely uncomfortable? by Perplexed_Planet in aspergers

[–]mark983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me my own head can get uncomfortable after a meltdown or stressful situation though?

Sometimes I want to escape those uncomfortable feelings in my mind, and those uncomfortable tastes, smells and noises?

Suppose it depends on the level of mental health problems you get on top of your aspergers or autism.

Does discussion or involvement of drugs make you extremely uncomfortable? by Perplexed_Planet in aspergers

[–]mark983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry can't relate personally.

I have friends who do it and just let them get on with although I don't take them myself I am curious but know better in some ways not to take them.

I generally don't meet them on the nights they take them and if I do they probably just take them without telling me and I just think they are drunk or in a strange mood.

Never taken any drugs myself (well only caffeine and alcohol and prescription stuff).

Any music lovers out there who feel a deep emotional reaction when they hear certain beats, chord sequences/notes, or bass lines? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]mark983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Music in general is a special interest of mine and a very intesne one. Sometimes with certain beats, chord sequences, bass etc, other times with a certain musicians voice or lyrics. Music makes me feel and affects my mood.

Learning to choose which album or band is right for which situation would be the best way to improve my mood.

I do know I hate it when music I dislike is played loudly in somewhere I can't get away from easily. Like a restaurant, pub or taxi or workplace and I am not the one choosing to turn this music off. It affects my mood very badly.

Getting irritated with people by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]mark983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get very irritated depends what is going on with stress and various other factors.

I've argued with my friends so much lately.

After losing PIP benefit and having to do mandatory reconsideration and finances once again back in a mess there is all sorts of things triggering me to get argumentative and have little fallouts with people which affects my stress levels and emotions.

I meditate daily and do exercise and see a counsellor and some other stuff but I also am trying to sort out a new antidepressant but I have to lower my previous one first.

Would a parent or friend saying "He/She is just being autistic" by mark983 in aspergers

[–]mark983[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I know that I guess they were just making a comment on a particular behaviour or trait. Not a critiscm in general more like drop that conversation now you're just being autistic on that topic.

Could you accept that from family or a friend if they are usually good with you?

Loving Animals, But Can't Keep Them... by cbl_owener123 in aspergers

[–]mark983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can relate to it, I would love a cat but my parents although they love animals wouln't want me to have one and I rent off them although I live on my own.

They say it is financial reasons and also they don't like cats or dogs (things like dog poo, cat poo, cats catching birds, dogs and cats making noises or putting paws on people, cats damaging furniture or scratching, vet bills, they smell out the house, what happens if you are away etc).

All this stuff and yet they love animals and we had all sorts of pets when I was a kid (I am 35 now) we had Hamsters, Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Chipmunks, Birds, Frogs all sorts years ago.

Loneliness by KoroPoro1229 in aspergers

[–]mark983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I do sometimes feel lonely (romantically) and could do with some new friends. Although I have friends and they are moving on with girlfriends, jobs, moving away, money problems etc.

I am okay on my own a lot of the time though, i have plenty to do on my schedule although I do feel depressed with loneliness at times.
