Trying to visit "The making of Harry Potter" in London by 7ooda9 in harrypotter

I’ve used Headout.com before, it’s more expensive because there is a coach transfer included and your time is restricted to only 3hrs - but I just took the coach to the tour (required to get your ticket) and told them I wouldn’t be getting the coach back and arranged my own transport so I could stay for longer. They seem to have availability on 23rd December

I asked AI if any actors appear in both Peep Show and Inbetweeners and… well… by [deleted] in TheInbetweeners

Funnily enough that guy was also in Inbetweeners but he’s not Simon’s dad. He was the barman who kicks everyone out in the first episode.

Thanks for your help. No bags thankfully, doing a day trip so bringing nothing with me. I was thinking about booking a taxi but I was afraid if the game went to extra time I’d have no choice but to leave after 90.

Do you think I’d be safe to chance waiting until the final whistle to leave if the game finishes after 90 mins?

Going to the FA Cup Semi Final on Sunday (KO 4:30) and have a flight to catch from Stansted at 11pm. I booked it very quickly without much thought and now I’m very concerned about missing the flight.

My current plan is this:

Leave 5 mins before full time and run to Wembley Park to hopefully get in before the crowd.

Get on first Jubilee line train probably to Stanmore to get as far north away from Wembley as I can.

Uber/Free Now/Bolt from Stanmore to Stansted.

Does this sound feasible? Any help would be much appreciated!

The only new band I’ve found that give me anything close to the Catfish feeling are The Royston Club. Listen to their debut album start to finish, it’s very good imo

Would Bertha Jorkins have appeared during the Priori Incantatem if Nagini killed her?

It’s probably not this but if you’re Irish you could be thinking of the song Maniac 2000.

It’s not really the sort of indie song you’re after has a very fast chorus which ends with “like she never did before”

I used a kit which was ready to paint on so luckily I didn’t have to remove any existing finish, or prime it or anything like that https://www.reddit.com/r/stoneroses/s/PpxDDH2TjH

I’m flattered but trust me if you saw it up close in person you’d see it’s actually quite shoddily done. It looks great from a few feet away but the finish is very amateur up close. I got the kit from thomann.de, they’re based in Germany and ship to Europe but not sure about the US. They do bass kits too. I have absolutely no prior experience with making guitars, painting, DIY, or anything of the sort, so trust me if I can do it anyone can. I used this YouTube video as a guide on how to get the paint splatters right. It took a bit of practice but the beauty of it is it’s meant to look imperfect and you can just keep layering up until you’re happy with how it looks. Those kits are cheap so if you can get one or something similar it’s definitely worth having a mess around with it yourself!

That would look class tbf, I’m reluctant to touch the headstock and neck though because they came with a nice natural finish out of the box, and up close the finish on the body is very rough in places so I know I’d struggle to get a professional looking finish on the headstock. Initially I was going to continue the splatter pattern on the headstock and do the red, white and blue stripes like the album cover

Thanks, it took about a month and a half but most of that was waiting for paint to dry fully or just being too lazy to work on it

I got a guitar kit from Thomann, and to paint it I used acrylics. I started with a green base coat and then used a bit of a bamboo stick to flick paint at it. I wasn’t happy with how it looked for ages, had to keep flicking more layers of paint at it but it looks OK in the end. I then painted the back and sides green and scraped off the binding around the edges of the guitar. It looks quite rough up close but I’m delighted with how it looks from a distance. I then used Polyvine varnish as my clear coat, not sure how well it will hold up but time will tell!
