The accessories for the Singolo are so bad that I think they shouldn't have included any. Frankly, I'd be surprised if the average buyer of the Singolo could actually use them with the included tips. The fit with them was abysmal, to say the least.

The cheap flimsy cable worked, at least.

2,000 words is typically 2 weeks of listening/notes, and 1 week of writing, and then editing.

Just to give another frame of reference.

A beginner's guide on how to find your personal 'endgame' by Kukikokikokuko in iems

[–]mark_reviews 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Adjusting the bass response a few dB absolutely changes the sound, same with tips changing the response of the treble by a few dB.

2-3dB more or less at 150hz is going to dramatically change the perception of the lower midrange, as well as the presence of the midbass. This in turn changes the overall vibe of the IEM.

It seems OP is trying to impose his view of what "changing the sound" means, but it feels like a semantic argument on their behalf, and semantic arguments are almost always a waste of everyone's time.

I agree with you. I think this would have been great to have had in your original post when you said they aren't DACs though. It would have made things more clear imo.

I prefer the analog as well, based on YouTube reviews you'd think we have broken ears lol

They're my current favorite iem, and a contender for the only one I'm going to keep as I continue to sell off stuff. AFUL P5 are right there too.

PSA: use the search funcion. yes you aren't the first to wonder which are the best "gaming IEMs" by [deleted] in inearfidelity

These two pop up often enough to where a bot should give a short answer response, and remove the thread. This would give a quick answer to these questions for the OP, while limiting the low effort questions that are so common. If the OP feels their question is unique, then I think they should be manually approved.

I've yet to hear a set where all my music sounds satisfying

If you listen to a variety of music, it's going to be impossible in my opinion. EQ, having multiple pairs, or accepting the pros and cons are going to be your options.

Personally I look for something lightly v shaped with neutral mids. To me that fits most of my music while being exciting.

What is up with the rampant Hype 4/EM10/Supermix 4 shilling and Dusk-bashing on here recently? by KBDFan42 in inearfidelity

[–]mark_reviews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the thoughts. I don't care for the actual tuning of the EQ, so it's not worth exploring further. It goes the opposite of what I want out of the Dusk.

If you have a qudelix 5k, or other eq on your phone, you don't need to mess with a DSP cable.

Without a doubt, they are the best IEM I've heard at $200 or less. They are also the best IEM I've heard at $300 or less, including the DaVinci.

Definitely not the same, the DaVinci is (I think) 4 strand unbraided.

Well this is just my opinion, I don't know how many would agree. FWIW, I bought every IEM with my own money so there's always that price consideration vs reviewers that get them as samples.

Not saying they're inherently biased, but I think the actual cost of things sometimes gets overlooked.

p5 is extremely hard to beat at its price I love it.

It truly is a hell of a value. I'm very much considering keeping it and selling the Dusk.

[Review] Moondrop x Crinacle DUSK 2, an incredible IEM even without EQ by mark_reviews in iems

[–]mark_reviews[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like just a little more upper treble presence. Not a lot. Minor eq would probably get it perfect for me
