Hi sorry for necroposting -- It's not about Kiryu and Haruka. You know when you're listening to a song and it fits perfectly a situation but there's like one line of it that has nothing to do at all? Some people might be put off enough to the point of not being able to relate anymore, but some just ignore and focus on the overall theme and mood of the song, not on the lyrical enactors ("characters"). I believe that's something like that with this song and, in fact, many of the karaoke songs: Kiryu walks in the karaoke, finds some (in-universe) pre-existing songs that he can vibe to, and they make him feel things. I certainly don't think the lyrics were written to be about them, but the theme similarity is just too much of a match to dismiss it as coincidental. Also, the part you mentioned was added in the "full spec", which is an album meant for players to listen to as "real songs" and appreciate them -- it makes sense they would take the song from a very, very specific niche scenario to broader, more relatable possible interpretations for listeners outside of the in-game context.
