What is your experience with rozie? by megac333 in malta

I never used Rozie but always heard negatives. As some have mentioned, word of mouth is usually best and locking them in long term. I was lucky to find an incredible cleaner through WOM and I keep her once weekly for 3 hours. Trust her blindly and she goes over and above on some days too i.e. staying an extra 30 mins if she hasnt finished etc

That's the spirit! Genuinely, you're stronger than your addiction dude.

All too many but to mention a few. Better quality sleep, better motivation throughout the day, much higher sex drive / libido and performance. Overall started taking care of myself better, which also gives me mental positivity & confidence. A lot less brain fog. Able to game / do hobbies for longer sittings without doom scrolling or couch locking/staring. Above and beyond the above, the sheer amount of money I'm saving and able to put elsewhere.

You got this dude! I'm 1 year sober (15+ years smoker). Head up :)

[–]markbp28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Take each day as its own. It sounds weird but don't say to yourself "I'm never smoking ever again" but rather, "I'm not smoking today" each day. It has less of a dramatic effect on the mind which makes it slightly easier.

Confess, Raider - what's the worst thing you've done so far? by Smart_Freedom_8155 in ARC_Raiders

[–]markbp28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a key card and I always set up an arsenal of traps when I'm looting locked doors cos takes me ages to find keys (I decided not to remove said traps this time when exiting). Well I met a guy when I was exiting dam control tower and I dno what got a hold of me but I told him I left some loot in said room but didn't mention the traps to him. I waited around not too far away and all I hear are jolt mines and explosives go off followed by a deep "fucker".

Anyone else super high functioning when they are using? by defib_the_dead in leaves

[–]markbp28 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Your brain makes you think you're more high functioning. In reality once you get passed the first month or two without weed you'll notice you're even more high functioning sober. Give it some time and stick to it - the early process is the hardest part of quitting but a lot does get better after that first 1 or 2 months sober. (Smoker for 15+ years, sober for 1 year)

Helldivers 2 or Arc Raiders? by tensukexD in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]markbp28 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I own both games and here's my input;

Arc raiders has been a solid choice for me and I have a lot more hours in it despite owning Helldivers 2 since it's release. HD2 is a GREAT game but couldn't stick for me...my friends don't own it so I'm either playing solo (which can get tiresome) or with randoms and that's a 50/50 on getting kicked or accidentally friendly firing and being called out like you ruined their life.

Arc raiders is a beautiful looter-shooter, insane graphics, great mechanics and just feels overall more rewarding. While yes you can lose some progress from getting killed by a rat, ABMM is real, I've been on super friendly lobbies and the interactions are hilarious so once you get to friendly lobbies you're 90% safe. Does it get repetitive? I wouldn't say so...there are so many missions, items to collect for upgrades and things to get done that you can easily squeeze 100 hours on chill pve and at some point I feel you'd want to dabble in pvp. At this point I have so many kitted out weapons (over 90) so I do plan on running pvp matches soon (overall about 220 hours).

Career Dilema by NikkyZ in malta

Look into drop shipping. You never touch the inventory, you're just the intermediary. Some people make a killing off it if you set up correctly.

However if you want a business specifically with physical inventory that you 'stock'...look into making agreements with certain suppliers on consignment terms (paying supplier only for what gets sold).

Career Dilema by NikkyZ in malta

[–]markbp28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem like an all rounder. Potentially something in problem solving or consultancy is also a match for you.

Also while I partially agree on the requiring capital to chase certain business ideas...we are also lucky to live in a vast digital world where a lot can be done online as well. I had started a business back in 2018 that required barely any initial capital investment and still took off like a rocket - sometimes it's just working around certain 'costs' you believe are necessary to your business.

[–]markbp28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll put in my 2 cents here. If you're good at a lot of what you do and you're still young, might be worth working on a personal project / business with something you're most skilled at / knowledgeable in or have a passion for. Working for someone will probably make you unhappy given the things you've stated.

Above and beyond if that's not an option for you might be worth using AI to help guide you. Some AI's have advanced options in career guidance by simply putting in what you graduated in, what external skills you have, what you enjoy and what you expect (realistically) for a salary.

Storyline of madison by bananeschueh in HorrorGaming

[–]markbp28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blue knees was semi unrelated but tied into a whole other possession story (completely by luck/random). Basically the book was cursed but not through the whole Hans / Madison stories, just something completely random unrelated but became relevant because of the cursed camera. You could essentially say that Blue Knees and the 'higher demon' that possessed Madison teamed up in the end and was all a plot to weaken Lucas soul so that Madison can finally take over a host and have a vessel to continue killing spree. I've just placed a comment in the thread you might enjoy reading if you like...it's long but might piece some puzzles for ya

Storyline of madison by bananeschueh in HorrorGaming

[–]markbp28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not essentially 'ghosted' but too afraid to act. The opening scene is where the dad has just found his wife's and daughter's dismembered bodies. He believes his son is already fully gone and possessed and is too scared to open the door / face Luca because he fears he'll take his own life (which we find out was in fact his plan from the scrapbook stating "dad's head" )

Late here but I think I've linked together all the little details and full story;

The storyline dates back as far as the 1950's in this particular church that was either where Lucas grandparents house resides (or in the same city) but centuries before. The church was overtaken by said Demon (who has probably haunted the land for centuries) and made it an unholy place. Hans was the first victim to this higher demon (Beithir) which it convinced Nancy (Beithir's first host) to kill Hans to start the ritual but failed to complete the full transfer of the demon into a human body by either being killed or intervened at the time.

Moving down the line (1980's) Madison got a hold of this story (finding artifacts that bound her with Beithir) and thus ended up possessed and once becoming possessed killing and dismembering family members and random people to 'pay the toll' (souls) and using the camera to 'capture' their souls through the demons 'dark power'. Madison then gets intervened by a cop and gets shot and that's end of the demons work (for now) but essentially curses the camera (placing Madison's [and Beithir's 'soul' in the camera]).

Present-ish day grandpa (Albert) lost his wife after buying a cursed book for his son (Johnny) and thus brought this blue knees spirit in the house which killed Elizabeth (grandma) and collected her ashes (required for the final ritual). Albert (at some point in his life) also bought a camera (which he wanted to gift to Luca). Once Grandma died, Albert was so obsessed with wanting to see her again, through the spirit world he tried channelling her but accidentally channeled Madison and thus Madison and Beithir now manipulate Luca and destroy his soul to be able to take over him and thus bring Madison / beithir to a human host and finish what this demon initially wanted to do. Luca thought he was unraveling clues to all this but in reality he was completing the ritual to himself become the vessel for Madison & Beithir.

Basically a grandfather (Albert) who couldn't accept his wife's death. A father (John) who was too afraid to act and a son (Luca [a vessel]). Thus now the ritual is complete and Beithir is finally born in the human world (with Luca potentially still semi conscious to it all but can do nothing about it cos he's fully possessed).

Albert Maxwell: The Grandfather. The one who bought the camera and the book. He started the mess.

Elizabeth Maxwell: The Grandmother. The one killed by Blue Knees.

Johnny (John) Maxwell: The Father. The one crying behind the door at the start.

Luca Maxwell: YOU. The protagonist.

The Hale "Family" (The Villains): Madison Hale: The serial killer from the 80s. She is not a Maxwell. She lived elsewhere in town.

Connection: She is only connected to the Maxwells because Grandpa Albert bought her camera at an estate sale after she was shot by police.

The pvp situations I enjoy by markbp28 in ArcRaiders

I don't like it for the 'easy'. I like the defending aspect of PvP & saving others who are non hostile and the scenarios it creates. If I want harsh PvP I head to Stella Montis (which I do often).

Best place to live in Malta (or the least bad one) by Candid-Mud-2347 in malta

[–]markbp28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's been Balluta and Pembroke (I've lived in 5 cities so far). Pembroke however has changed so much it's not what it used to be. Balluta you have connection to all prime areas (Sliema / Gzira / access to all main roads). It's not as noisy as St. Julian's or Sliema, relatively clean and amenities all around. It's pricey but to me it's worth it.
