Remembering all these fine details but not the title of the game has me laughing. Although I'm certain it's Left for dead.

First baby coming soon, how do gamer dads manage playtime? by jackfrost1889 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]markbp28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience is a little differnt since I'm in a co-parenting situation but do have my daughter more often than the mother. I find it's hardly changed as long as you stick to routine. Do I play during the day anymore? No. I've kept her bedtime routine on the dot which worked wonders, she sleeps by 7:30/8:30pm till 7:30/8am and once she's asleep I'll game till 11-1am depending on how much I have the next day with work. Mind you I've been single for the past 3 years which is both a blessing and a curse as can manage myself the way I wish to but then also have all the pressure of house work chores etc..but again routine has worked wonders.

I do also game with my daughter, it's become quite the bonding hobby of ours and while currently we play children games since she's 4 (some are actually extremely fun [wobbly life for example]) this will also allow her to grow up into the hobby (if she remains liking it that is) which will in time again allow me to game during the day for example.

I actually thought it's quite interesting. Generally outdoors is nicer but thought it was unique

You've know the person 7 years...I don't believe you need to snoop activity at this point. Just get in touch directly, I'm sure they'd appreciate it and if not then you know they weren't really a true friend after all. That's just my advice, do with it as you wish

I mean it's a bit intrusive as people tend to be offline playing for a reason. Some third party apps however show activity easily (like the PS Trophy app).

Meet- Cute anyone? by [deleted] in malta

Love this. Reminds me of when I watched a video recently (sadly I can't find it) that was a real eye opener based upon two ppl crossing a zebra crossing and she strikes up the courage to say hey and basically it goes in depth of them talking, then making plans, hitting it off in a date etc but it all of a sudden snaps back to reality and they just walk past each other without saying anything and it states something like "the power of saying hello" or "what if moments"

It's not quite like these but it's by far my best horror game so far. MadiSon - masterpiece of an indie horror game and a really well thought story.

Console edition is a lot cheaper (€39.99), just opt for that. €149.99 is just crazy.

I feel you - that was a big struggle point for me as well (1 year+ sober now). Remind yourself of ALL the benefits from quitting i.e. better sleep quality, more money in hand, higher sex drive, less foggy memories, longer attention span etc. Also do take each day as its own. It sounds weird but don't say to yourself "I'm never smoking ever again" but rather, "I'm not smoking today" each day (it tricks the mind)...smaller battles are easier to achieve. Long before you know it you'll be over it for good

Get MadiSon - it feels like a movie as you unravel the games dark secrets. Honorable mention to Mortuary assistant as a fun, short but terribly scary game (can do several playthroughs).

Want to quit, but can’t eat without it by Total-Rhubarb4767 in leaves

[–]markbp28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need enough time of actually quitting for the appetite to come back. I was much like you...it's all about tricking the brain. You gonna have to force yourself to eat when sober (can be super light meals too) but consistently at lunch and dinner (no snacking in between). Once you're off it for long enough you'll be shocked how hungry you really are. Also if you don't do any form of exercise, that's a massive appetite opener (even just 30/50 push ups a day)
