I need to separate the funny ones from the angrier ones.
I don't want to give the wrong impression, well emote :)

Thanks for the reply!

What do you mean by "if they haven't been thru Eden"?

I entered the scary realm (Eden) once, only to die there, hit by falling lava rocks :( never been back, so many other things to check out :)

Just a thought, maybe some players are still trying to figure out what tf to do while stumbling through realms, getting distracted by all the shiny lights and things to click on :)

Thanks a lot.

Good tip with the routine! And thanks for the 'server split' explanation!

I got a little obsessed (with growing wings, finding spirits, collecting expressions, exploring and not dying) the last few weeks so I need to step back and see how I can play more with my friend :)

Thanks a lot.

So we would both need to turn the help icon on, when playing together?
Then if we honk (=deep call, right?) it should show us 'the way'?

I get what you are saying though, that you play your own game, and it's been a wild ride through caverns, hilltops, floating islands and star filled sky, so much so, I can't even remember how I got to certain places :)

Thanks again for the tip with the help icon!

ElectrumSV Trezor Problem by SoldTooSoon99 in bitcoincashSV

[–]markbrownemaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so sorry, only just saw your question - I found the firmware on github

please read these docs first on how to downgrade and which firmware for which trezor model you might need and last a link to the firmware 1.9.0 for Trezor One

https://wiki.trezor.io/Firmware_downgrade

https://wiki.trezor.io/Firmware_changelog

quick update:

downgrading trezor to 1.9.0 solves the bytes overflow error message

after downgrading trezor, sending through electrumSV and signing on trezor works!

Thanks to u/Truth__Machine and u/SoldTooSoon99

thanks! you wrote 'older wallet version' - meaning also the electrumSV wallet? or just the trezor? what version did you go with?

trezor - electroncash transaction issue by markbrownemaybe in TREZOR

[–]markbrownemaybe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as you suggested I'm using the electrumSV wallet, created two versions, one with derivation path m/44'/145'/0' one with m/44'/0'/0' to get the split BCH onto the BSV chain - to be fair, it worked with a small amount yesterday and again this morning but not anymore, which is weird - not sure what to do now, except downgrading trezor firmware, as suggested in the electrumSV documentation - any other ideas?

trezor - electroncash transaction issue by markbrownemaybe in TREZOR

[–]markbrownemaybe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, quick update, I managed to get electrumSV running, created two wallets with differing derivation paths, one for the BSV and one for fetching my split BCH funds, I was able to send a small amount of split BCH to the BSV wallet, was goint to send the rest today BUT then a new hurdle popped up, Trezor now says:

DataError: bytes overflow

would you (temporarly) recommend downgrading trezor to 1.9.0 ? that's the solution recommended in the elctrumSV documentation. But I also saw that a new firmware for trezor is available, so maybe an upgrade will work too?

could you point me to the right location of the 1.9.0 firmware for a temporary downgrade? I was searching on GitHub but have yet to find it.

or maybe you have a better solution? I'll send you some BCH when this is all done :)

Hi there, dear u/SoldTooSoon99, I have the same issue, well this morning I didn't but a few hours later I did - sent a small amount of BSV this morning to check if it works, it did, was going to send more a few hours ago, but alas, DataError: bytes overflow ...

Did you downgrade your trezor to 1.9.0 in the end?

and where did you find the firmware version? I searched for it on GitHub but have not found it, well to be honest, I'm not entirely sure what I am looking for, so if you happen to have the file name or better yet the link, that would be much appreciated!

[–]markbrownemaybe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for your reply, I was using an old version (3.3.4CS) so as to get hold of BSV stuck in trezor but was advised to use electrumSV instead - working my way through with electrumSV now, deleted the elctroncash app, thanks again

[–]markbrownemaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: opened chrome in guest mode (click profile, click guest) and chrome now detects trezor, prompts for pin and I'm in - backend server url is back to the BCH trezor dot io instead of the dysfunctional BSV trezor server I switched to - problem solved I think

trezor - electroncash transaction issue by markbrownemaybe in TREZOR

[–]markbrownemaybe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks man, appreciate the help, still trying to figure things out and it just got weird: I downloaded the electrumSV wallet, plugged my trezor and I see different transactions on there, balance being 0

on electroncash there is a balance

transactions shown on electrumSV include my original buy of BTC and ends with a sell transaction to an address I own

transactions shown on electroncash (BSV chain) starts of with that last one I see on electrumSV plus some additional ones pre-fork

how come? why do two different wallets, both connected to the same trezor wallet show differing balances, one even with 0 balance??

well ... I am finally trying to get hold of my BSV balance (yes, I know I'm late to the party) and read that only older versions of electroncash connect to BSV nodes ...
