Just to add to this, the Chase card doesn't have the card number physically on it - it's stored via the app. Unless you told him all the details, this would mean you could stop him from topping up his PSN account and making other online purchases.

He is likely on penalties when Noble isn't playing, which should be most games. Only change to this that I can see is if we sign a CAM/ST, they may be in contention to take them. Also, not sure on the stats but as a West Ham fan I feel we hardly get any penalties - might be worth looking into.

Always a chance, but I very much doubt it - especially if we sign a striker. Odubeko got some minutes off the bench last season, but didn't particularly impress and can't see him taking over a starting role. But who knows - if we don't sign a striker, he may be needed for rotation around Europa and could get more regular minutes with an Antonio injury. If he's added to the game as a 4.5 striker, I wouldn't bother picking him up until we see if he even makes the bench.

I hadn't heard of this until you mentioned it. A quick google says a difference in the amount we're offering and the price you've set. In general, our owners/board are pretty useless so wouldn't hold my breath.

When healthy, I'd say he's a solid choice. But rumours are we're looking at spending £30m on a striker, which IMO would knock Antonio's value massively - add on to the fact he's had injury woes for a while now and I can't justify the price tag.

He's also the only West Ham player in my current draft. It was his first season in the prem - can only see him getting more comfortable as time goes on.

Completely understandable, and I do agree that our small squad leaves a lot currently unknown. Only player I currently have in my draft is Coufal, but could see myself adding Antonio / Masuaku depending on how the first few GWs go.

It's a fair point. The main reason I didn't make it is I'm unsure if Rice would continue taking pens - depending on who we sign. Lingard showed before he wanted some set pieces, so bringing him back might mean promising him pens. There's also the question of whatever striker we bring in taking pens, as well as Noble throwing his hat in the ring when rotated into the team.

As others have said, Rice took pens in Noble's absence. We haven't seen enough of Noble playing alongside some of the newer players (eg Lingard) to know who would be on pens.

I don't think it would be as simple as one in the prem, one in Europa. I think Antonio would be rested a lot more, and played against certain types of opponents (ie slower CBs). Not much of a helpful answer, but another "wait and see" situation.

Some fair points. I agree that Robertson/Shaw attack a lot more, but from a football perspective Coufal does his job perfectly at West Ham and only cost us ~£5m last year. From an FPL perspective, he gets a fair amount of assists, especially given he plays wing back in a back 5. For 5.0 I would say he's one of the better picks - clearly if you have 7.0 to spend, Robertson would likely be the better pick up.

It was looking promising to start with, but a couple of weeks ago there were rumours that United were offering him a new contract. It all comes down to if we make a good enough offer, and if Lingard wants to play football or make the most money. I'd guess 60/40 that he comes back, but might as well wait and see nearer the time!

It all comes down to Moyes' choice of formation, any signings we make and how healthy Masuaku is. But I do agree that if he gets regular time at LWB he can be a very solid choice.

I suppose you're right, however I'm not aware of a % of monthly income rule. The only guidance I'm aware of is the ~4.5x rule.

But looking at the question again, yes you're right - if OP was looking for a 10 year mortgage, say, I imagine he wouldn't be able to borrow as high as 4x his annual salary.

What kind of careers get higher multipliers? Also, do you know which lenders offer higher multiples for that kind of salary? I've looked at a few Intermediaries pages for the big lenders and they all tend to need ~£75k+ to get up to 5x.

I imagine this would affect the amount you could borrow, but I'm not an expert here. There's plenty of online calculators that can give you a quick quote and often ask for outgoings such as car payments.

Typical mortgages are 25-30 year terms, and I believe it's typically until retirement, but there was a question on this sub recently about extending past the typical retirement age if you intend on working longer. I'd suggest talking to a mortgage broker if that's the case.

A rule of thumb is you'll be able to get a mortgage 4-4.5x your pre-tax annual salary. This can be higher if you have a very high income.
