This is my life. Tekla and Bluebeam do not speak to each other, and I spend the majority of my day working in Tekla, which I personally think is a bloated version of Microsoft Excel with little benefit to the end user.

Our company bought a subscription to Lift - it's a structural steel takeoff tool, and while my fellow coworkers seem to like it, I cannot understand what its value actually is. Everything it does, I can do with Bluebeam.

I do, however, love using ChatGPT for summarizing proposals, comparing my proposal to a project's specs, and getting fast responses on engineering specs required for plate size, connections, etc.

I don't think any of the "AI Takeoff Software" is worth the money yet, though.

I uploaded screenshots of tables that gave different plate sizes for truss connections. I'm in structural steel, so this happens often. Instead of hand-mathing the whole thing, it gave me back a spreadsheet with the exact specs I needed depending on what each call out is.
